  • Feel v productive! I've written my complaint concerning PPI and Bank Charges with the necessary documentation and am sending it all to the Banking Ombudsman today. Have also posted a written complaint to Asda regarding a new TV I purchased recently which is faulty. Trying to get it returned is a nightmare. But to get a replacement which was what I initially asked for, they don't deliver that at the same time as collecting the return, no, they have to physically receive the faulty tv before they authorise a new one and so the process can take a week or more so we would be without a TV for potentially up to 10 days!. In the circumstances, I asked for a refund but this again they do not activate until they receive the faulty item, and a refund can take up to 5 working days, so either way I'm inconvenienced. I am getting a refund after they eventually collect the TV, and in themeantime have written to their Head Office! DD and I can survive without a TV for a week or so, we can play Scrabble and do tapestry and other creative things together, but its the principle of Asda has my money and I do not have the product I paid for through no fault of my own. I do shop at Asda but I would not recommend their electrical products purely because of the level of after sales care.

Dd and I had a lovely weekend. We treated ourselves to a meal at Harvester at the local Marina. Dd read her book to me while we were there, we watched the water to spot any fishes! and generally it was very nice. I also taught her how to do tapestry on Sunday which shes really got into! My granny taught me and I don't do enough now, something I really want to change.

Regarding my family, we have been invited to a family do at my parents on Saturday but after considerable agonising and thought I decided to decline. The reason being there would be 3 adults all who have a negative opinion of my life and are not afraid to tell me, so for me that would be just me and the 3 of them if anything was to start and I don't want to put myself in that stressful position. True, mum has apologised for sayingmy life is dreadful, however there are plenty more horrible things that she was not prepared to apologise for, my dad and sis the same and by attending the event I also feel I would be saying that they way they talk and treat me is acceptable when in fact it isn't. So, in light of the Poisoned Parrot material my counsellor gave me last week, I am being kind to me and putting a towel over the cage in more ways than one! In other words, I want to retain my efforts of working onmyself, being kind to me and positive and refrain from putting myself in a potentially negative environment. I feel v daring, very naughty, and its not ideal. I feel sad that dd won't see her cousins but then I wouldn't want dd there without me because of what she might overfhear and anyway we have plans in place On Saturday which will be really nice for us both so I'm hoping all will be well. So, thats me, a busy day today so up and away, get it all done and look forward not back!

That parrot is amazing, I mean that in the nicest of ways, I'm so pround of you and you have done the right thing with the meal.

Can I send you dd and you can teach her to do taprestry, I haven't got the patience.

Hope you get the TV sorted, there pulling a fast one if it is faulty u are entiled to a refund straight away, I would call trading standards and see what they say,

Under the sale of goods act - think its section 17, unmerchandisable quality, and unfit for the purpose. xx

roud to be dealing with her debts 1198~

  • So, last Saturday while my family had their get to gether, dd and I had a lovely time with friends. My dd went on a cycle ride with my friend and her dd. I arranged to meet everyone a bit later at a cafe where I had a tea with my friend while our girls played in the play area. Then I drove home while they all cycled back, and then later my friend and her dd came round for a buffet which we enjoyed while watching Britains Got Talent together. Dd and I enjoyed our buffet food for the rest of the BH! As usual did too much food..
I did telephone my brother before last Saturday just to explain I hope he wasn't hurt that we wouldn't be there given he was going to be showing everyone his wedding photos. He knows the jist of whats gone on, and fully understands. We plan to meet up at their home soon, and have a meal together..
General news: Been to the docs and the results of a recent blood test show that my folic acid levels are back to normal, my pins and needles are much less in my good hand, but I am to keep a watch on a pain I get in my right hip from time to time as the doc suspects this could be the startings of arthritis in my good leg/hip.
Complaint Update: Asda Complaints dept contacted me, on further questioning they believe it is a tuning issue withmy TV, and where they would normally charge to send someone out, they wil not on this occasion to see whats wrong. Depending on the outcome of that, I may go back to renting my TV and getting a refund from them because for me the rental company help you without any hassle for any problem and that is worth its weight in gold...
PPI - Halifax have now made contact with me as a result of me refering the complaint to the Ombudsman. They wanted to know how long I have had a disability and when I was first diagnosed with epilepsy. They will make investigations, I did remind them that they have had 14 weeks so far to do that! ..He has assured me they will resolve thematter asap.
Still waiting to hear about the bank charges complaint.
Financial Update: I had thought I would feel more free financially since paying off some debt recently but things have not felt that way. True, I have treated me and dd to a few things but not excessively so, that said sales these last 4 weeks have not been as strong, I've been ticking over. So, I need to build momentum in the snowballing of debt. It's all in hand!
Work update: If I can manage a min of £2700 in sales in thenext 4 weeks, I will have qualified for what is being called The Directors Club in Kleeneze. The competition has been running for the last 10 months or so and finishes in 4 weks time. I currrently am in qualification with just 250 others which is amazing given there are 20K distributors approx in the company. It's quite an elite group so you can bet I will make sure I qualify. Dd is very excited about it!

So, thats me, hoping it doesn't rain this weekend so I can mow my garden with the help of dd..She is looking forward to that too..Bless her little heart.

  • I am so thrilled. I've heard from the Halifax regarding the remainder of my PPI claim and they are paying me £5023 in the very near future. It transpires that the policy would not have covered me for my disability which contradicts what I was originally told. When I receive the chq and it clears it will of course pay off more debt and by my initial calculations will mean all my remaining debt is on very low interest for the life of the debt, the highest interest rate being 9.9%, the lowest being 5.9%, such an improvement from when I had my light bulb moment and my highest rate was something like 29%. I haven't yet worked out a new snowball plan but that is on the to do list along with my tax return..

Still o/s is the bank charges complaint but I am ever hopeful that justice will prevail..

Have had a terrific week with sales. In 2 days collected £600 and so am hopeful I could exceed my £1K a week ideal target this week. Am just about to take dd to the school disco. Have a bit of housework to do this weekend and the usual washing but other than that want to relax and do a bit of ebay if poss. Some tapestry too although the pins and needles in my good hand have returned for some reason..Anyway, thats me, get dd to her disco while I pop down to Lidl!!
