Hi taxi, no neither do I, and neither do their insurance dept, their complaint dept or the manager at the branch I use to do my banking. I have to wait for the explanation from the mortgage dept which customer care say they will ensure I will get in writing. Am going to ensure I do get the explanation and its not forgotten.

On a more positive note, have updated my signature. I have managed to pay off this year alone what it took 2 years to pay off previously. Since LBM have cleared £12K of which £6K is since January this year. With my low times its easy to forget just how far in fact Ive come. :T Still a long way to go but it goes to show if you devise a plan and stick to it the best you can eventually the results have to follow and your goal reached. And I just have to remind myself that at all times.

My parents and sister are still not in my life. Its my neices 7th birthday this week. Dd has yet again not been invited to anything. Not a surprise as despite my neices and nephew attending dd's birthday celebrations every year, dd has only ever been invited to one party back when they were all toddlers. Its all v bizarre. With what they all said to me earlier in the year which included how they really felt about my dh before he was murdered I really think they have trouble loving my dd because she is born of a disabled mum and my dh. My sis never wanted me to go through with my pregnancy as she thought I was irresponsible, so it makes me wonder. Now I have made it clear I do not plan to give up work I am totally ignored, and I just do not know how I would start any kind of conversation with them all now anyway knowing what they think of me..Anyway, its bothering me, all v upsetting.. Other news went to the docs on friday. Where Ive dented my arm from my last fall, its possible Ive damaged some nerves and thats why I get pins and needles in my good hand from time to time. My doc seemed to think it will get better but may take a few more months. With regard to a wound on my knee that just will not heal properly, again from a fall earlier this year I have some cream which should do the trick, and I now have a cream to apply when my legs starts to ache more as the colder weather ensues. Am getting myself sorted to give myself the best chance of surviving the winter without falling over I really hope!Trying to be sensible and practical.

Just about to do some ironing and then the afternoon is a relaxing one staying at home chilling out ready for the week ahead.

keep going and try to put your family out of your mind as they are not worth all the negative energy.
  • Well, thank you for all your support and encouragement. The Halifax complaint is NOT over! The lady I spoke to was going to send me a chq for £50 together with the written reasons why my mortgage doesn't decrease now the insurance policy is no longer being taken from it. All I got was a letter saying she was sorry and the letter concluded the complaint was resolved with a cheque but my name is misspelt. So, I phoned them, the person concerned is on hols for 2 weeks. Spoke to someone else who said re the mortgage the amount was so small each month thats why they don't change it. Without taking interest into account its £25 a month is what I want to argue.. I don't call that small do you!? She was going to check with her Manager. Anyway, she called me back and said the matter was going to be refered to Customer relations. £50 wasn't enough in compensation and a proper explanation etc would be forthcoming in the next 4 weeks. I'm glad Im sticking to my guns. Will wait and see what transpires...

Otherwise, am meeting a friend today for lunch. Working either side of course. Dd is going to mum's after school. When I pick her up mum is usually out to a club she attends so its quite straightforward to pick her up and escape. I hear what you say Beanie and taxi. and I am really trying to get them all out of my head and focus on the positives, and I am v conscious of being positive to dd as I would never want to be in the position I am in with my family with dd. I want her to know she can achieve anything she wants to achieve in life with determination and persistence and self belief and I am v careful not to destroy her dreams which currently involve singing with JLS one day!!! I want her to know I will always back her. anyway, onward and upward. Better get on ...

Yes I have heard that Halifax couldn't organise the proverbial in a brewery - one of the reasons I have never banked with them. Nice to see you being so positive for your daughter. Bit out of touch as to who JLS are, but I guess they are the latest sensation. Dang now I sound like my mum!!!!!
