Royal Mail Surveys

Hi all,
Just a quick question. I remember reading on here and possibly on the site that we no longer need to send back the received mail just keep the smarts obviously.
I am about to do some shredding and tidying up and want to make doubly sure about this as I now can't find this info anywhere. lol
I have just returned to the panel after 9 months off and not had t he email yet. I wonder if we can choose when we are off as I want to do another round the world trip at some point so this could actually be good for me but how annoying for those on it for ages to have to learn to suck eggs again. The training was tedious when you know what to do....
Thanks.
yes - you can just bin it0 -

We have proposed to rotate the panel by randomly assigning end dates to each panellist currently Active on the panel. At your end date, you will be placed in an Active Reserve (resting) pool. A few weeks before your six month rest is due to end, we'll ask you via email if you would like to rejoin and if you accept you will become Active again and we will send you Training items to post back to us. It is important that even if you are an experienced panellist, you still you go back through Training in case anything has changed on the survey in your absence.
The monthly incentives will remain the same, sent once per month during your Active periods.
It also says that you can still do the misdelivery surveys if you are "resting".

I got an email today saying that they are going to rotate panellists starting next year- six months off and six months on- anyone else had one?
Also you need to do the training again each time you start a new 6 month stint.
Won't be worth the hassle. As I see it they get an extra 2 months a year where they don't pay for the extra-ordinary work WE do. With the preparations for the Olympics I have found some part-time work so won't be home till late. If they do do it it'll be the straw that broke the camels back for me.Martin you rock:j:j:j0 -
Just had to pay the postman £1.36 for a letter which turned out to be a test mail with no franking mark on it!
I'm tempted to give up as well - I have enough stamps to last for many years so only really do it for the other freebies which turn up now and again and, I assume, will disappear during the times we are not live on the survey. I'm also spending more time now shredding letters, which we used to send back, for no extra reward.0 -

True. What should have happened was that the cost saving measures RI introduced like no need to return items, etc should have been done.
Instead RI decided to cut our "rewards" first. IMO shows we are undervalued.Martin you rock:j:j:j0 -
It takes me about 15 minutes per week for the whole thing
Why not just stick the letters in the bin - they only have your name and address on.
Ive not had the email yet - though i did get a different one today - anyone else get that one? Sounds interesting doesnt it!0 -

Yes, I had that email as well, very wise of you not to give any details out, no need to alert Royal Mail:T"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138

What do you think? Seems a bit more difficult to me as surely it makes it more difficult to complete?0 -
I got it as well, so for a tiny extra incentive we have to do an extra task and then go to queue up at a post office counter, I assume, as a normal post box will not do? The parcel survey pays in shopping vouchers I think, so why not this one?0

You don't have to say yes, only if you want to take part!
Personally I go to the Post Office quite often any way, so it's no hardship for me to take part!:D"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138
