just found this thread ..........been doing the postal surveys for about 18 months now

had a few including accusing me of posting in a postbox outwith my postal area ...also i had two queries this week for mail i posted with smarts way back end October and beginning November ( never went back that far before)

obviously ..van never done last collection as definately posted on they day's at 3pm .. last collection is 4-15pm in our area

have already emailed them before that i only post in my local post boxes / post office and on the day on the schedule and usually within the timescale on the weekly scedule

I too get the odd query, but I'm getting a bit fed up of getting these posting out of area letters, especially when you know you haven't done it. I emailed them too but they didn't reply.

Yesterday I checked my smarts and 1 had to be returned. I didn't have it but it arrived as an extra smart today. So arrived today and now posted back:xmassign:

Same thing happened to me last week as well. Maybe they are training up some new staff!

I've had several of these emails recently, so phoned them to see why.

They said that the email is automatically sent when ever a SMART is identified as entering the postal system at an unexpected sorting office. So if your local sorting office is having problems and mail is going to a different office, you get the email.

She also said that it doesn't count against you or anything, they just need you to confirm that you did post it where you say you did.

That happened to me too - spent time looking for the darn thing and then it turns up from them the next day.

Is anyone getting emailed responses from them at the moment or are others experiencing their emails disappearing into a black hole?
