I am disapointed to say that I have lost absolutely nothing in July :( I'm totally fed up and am starting to wonder why I bother. Nothing I do seems to work and I just can't seem to lose weight.

Have you tried putting a profile together on http://caloriecount.about.com to get a recommendation for calorie intake for your gender, height, build and activity level?
... and then use the food log to record everything.
... and then stuck it out for a month as it might take that long for your body to get the message it's going to be loosing fat now.
If your excercising a lot more you might be putting on heavier muscle but the fat will still be going so all is well.

Unless you have an unusual medical condition its just not possible for your body to hold onto the fat forever if you put calorie intake 500 below what you burn for long enough.
Weight fluctuates a few lbs either way during the day too anyway so that can hide weight loss for a while.

Oh hugs FairyShazza - I'm sorry this is the way you feel and I empathise as I am one that works and works at losing weight and then one day worth of medication and all the weight just piles back on. Is it worth writing EVERYTHING down and checking your calorie count - it could be you are under eating OR some snacks are sneaking in OR your portion size has crept up. If none of these turn out to be correct you might have to go see your doctor for help but please don't give up!

Big hugs FairyShazza!!!!!! I feel the same - although I know it's all my own fault. I am eating too much, plain and simple. And until I get that under control, I won't lose weight. Let's buck each other up eh!

Dragon - what is your medication called (if that's not too personal a question) and do you know what ingredient in it is the problem? xoxo

My sympathy and support to those who have medication / conditions making their weight loss aims all the harder to acheive :A
  • Helloo, I've been slack in posting lately, will slap my wrists later.

Not a lot to report, my appetite has returned with a vengeance  and I'm trying not to eat everything in sight as normal.

Took a much needed day off yesterday, OH and moi went to the beach and took a picnic, paddled in the frrreezing cold sea and walked about 3 miles. We don't get many whole days off together so it was nice. :D

I'm off shopping in a mo, walking there and back, about a mile each way so that will be today's exercise sorted. I've been good food-wise - banana and weetabix for brekkie, cous-cous with veggie grills for lunch, and whatever I can bring back home for dinner (eating late as OH doesn't finish work till 8pm)

    Have a lovely evening all
