DS has a girlfriend!
(I wish my broken hearts would mend as quick LOL)
And, having talked to her, I now know why he has been going swimming all week ...that's what she does after school. She hurt her toe on Thursday and he walked her home (out of his way) then came home himself...at least this one lives nearer here so I won't have to be ferrying him all over the place. She's given me her mobile number so I can get hold of him following his phone-in-the-pool incident. We're waiting for the previous phone to be unblocked as it was blacklisted. So he's phoneless at the moment and I have asked his dad NOT to stump up for another one so he learns.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

The Red arrows just went over (very excited
)
Ok, the Red Arrow geek in me just has to reply to this. The Reds came over here last night and this evening they just cruised past at about 300 feet at the bottom of my garden. They were in Sth Gloucs today way because they did a fly by at Glastonbury.
They are parked up at Bournemouth Airport tonight. They are doing day three of the Goodwood Festival of Speed tomorrow then heading for Lincolnshire doing a few flypasts on the way. They're displaying at RAF Waddington, Lincs tomorrow night then doing a flypast at Scampton with a Vulcan at 16.48. If you're anywhere near RAF Scampton at that time then that will be something well worth seeing.
Looks like the next time they'll be up north is 19th July when they do Otterburn and then 25/26 July when they do Sunderland Airshow

Hiya everyone
I just came on to say a huge, huge thankyou to tootles for sending some more tapes for my dad. You're an angel tootles! Some of the ones he's listened to have been passed on to the hospice I work at - a lot of people are getting lots of enjoyment from that so thankyou. I actually got two parcels of tapes today. I'm guessing they're both from tootles but the writing is different. So, if the second parcel is from someone else I'd like to say a massive thankyou. They're really cheering my dad up.
I'm going to s/s tomorrow as I'm in a CBA'd mood. DS and I are homealone tonight so we're watching a movie and I'm having an early night even he's not planning on one!
Thanks again.
Hugs to everyone xx0 -
I need boys 13-14/14-15 but it has to be ALL black.. no writing or pattern or anything of a different colour.. yes it is a huge PITA.. and boys 11-12 (I think.. until he has a huge growh spurt in September!)
Piggers I might be able to help you with a coat. DS had a Diadora one which if I remember correctly is all black. Aged 13 - 14 I think it is. Might even do for your 11/12 yo. He's never worn it cos it's much more cool to freeze on the way to school than stay nice and warm:rolleyes:
Will dig it out later or tomorrow and let you know for sure. Your more than welcome to it if you want it.0 -
Just moving up today's list which as you can see has been untouched as yet
There's taking it slow and then there's being a lazy mare:o I admit to the latter today!!!
Oh and I've just had the TV Licence man knock on the door. Who turned out to be very nice. Even though I wouldn't let him in and made him fill his paperwork out on my stinky wheelie bin.
I now have a TV Licence though:A

Ooops - also meant to day HAPPY BIRTHDAY JO!!!! Hope you're having a fabulous day!
I don't think our elderly pooch is very well. She wouldn't eat her breakfast and now she's just refused her dinner. She's still drinking though. Her teeth don't look sore so i'll have to take her to the emergency vet tomorrow if she doesn't eat her breakfast in the morning. Don't really want her to go more than 24 hours without food as she's so old! Don't know why I told you all that but she's worrying me!

Hi de ho folks.
Friends wedding wonderful yesterday.
Sadly a friend also passed away, in the early hours of Friday, another friend told me as we walked to the reception, we must have looked a right pair walking down a high street and into the resturant crying! the bride also knew of her, and promptly got a bottle of champers out, and toast her, all of us now in tears, we were then told to pull ourselves together and the whole this was dedicated to her, what a way to go...............
Got home at 9.30am this morning, then went off to Silverstone and had a wonderful sunburnt day there.
Washing is now done and out onthe line
Chatted to neighbour over the fence.
