Does anyone know how to kick a twenty year old out of bed and into moving furniture? I am so frustrated and DH is just sitting watching tennis telling not to get stressed.

    Start cooking bacon
Have a solo water fight over his bed
Tell him you think there is a case of beer under the furniture.

    Having a Dolly half hour

    First cake cooking
    DW back on
    Wash no 3 in process

    stars next week?

I wondered how everybody would feel about having a change to stars next week.

Those of us with kids know that star charts are great but they loose their effect if they stay the same. Toots has noticed we are not achieving as much as we did early on.

I wondered if next week we could do different things to get our stars. Still have the regular cleaning list for those who want to do that (but not for the stars) but maybe concentrate on decluttering/gardening/paperwork/sewing all those things we never find time to do. Lots of us have kids breaking up for summer soon and I'm sure I'm not the only one who has stuff they want/need to get done before we have the little darlings home. It would also mean that those who cannot do the whole cleaning list for whatever reason have a chance to get a week of stars.

I don't want to create work for anyone but just thought it might be an idea - feel free to ignore me.

hung out second lot of laundry and put 2 more loads in
    Folded all the dry stuff.

I need to make a start on the party stuff for tomorrow.. but the kitchen is a tip.. I may get the 2 oldest girls to assist in tidying that... and the boys are about to be booted into orbit if they don't shift their stinky washing.

Oh.. cheeky little bumcloth my DD3 is.. she said one clean house (daddys) and one dirty house (mine!!).. She was hastily corrected that mess does not constitute dirt and if she picked up her rubbish behind her it wouldn't be half so bad... then I told her she could go tidy her hovelesque room if it bothered her that much.

:rotfl::rotfl:Good ideas, but this one is more persistant than that and hasn't shifted yet. I want to turn off electricity but that would really upset DH

DS1 showed him that I was writing about him on here and he is out of bed!!! Thank you all for your ideas/support. I can't declutter with someone lying in their smelly pit.

pollybear I don't want him gone, just to move around a bit and do something. It is his room we are doing up as he is not leaving home for a while yet and it is still decorated in a babyish fashion.

Forgot to tell you last night that I had a text from SGT to say they were just boarding the ferry - will let you know when I hear more.
Hi everyone, we have arrived safe & sound, the worst part was the drive from Bilbao in a Ford Fiesta full of stuff that I didn't pack for the removal people, no shade from the sun & no air con, but the scenery was spectacular. Arrived here 2115, showered & then out to the local bars to announce my arrival , well only managed 2 bars as we had been up since 0500. Today we've been shopping & I have put 'some' of my stuff away!!! Need to arrange next week for my stuff to be delivered, ideally whilst OH is at work so that I can try & get some of it put away before he comes home & says, 'Why have you brought that'. (Not sure where I am going to hide the shoes & boots, I will be brave & count the number of pairs when I unpack them). :rotfl:
Sorry haven't caught up with everyone, I just came on to check that Toots was OK & behaving herself .
Hugs to those in need TTFN

surely you can turn off just the upstairs electricity.. and if he is in bed what electricity is he using?

Just go in and nag off the rear... cold water in a jug at the ready..

    open window.. fling out bedding..
