Hi again,
As I said before, if anyone still has an ongoing problem please PM me details and I will try my best to get it resolved asap.
I'd like to stress again that we do take complaints very seriously and although you may not see it, behind the scenes we're working really hard to put processes in place and correct any past mistakes.
Thanks,
Nazma
(on behalf of Wolstenholmes)***I no longer work for Wolstenholmes so can no longer help with any complaints...thanks to all that PM-ed me and good luck to anyone with an ongoing issue***0 -
Always baffles me why anyone spending hundreds of thousands of pounds would entrust the legalities of the transaction to the lowest bidder, especially when that is some random from the internet.
I would always use a local solicitor with an office that I could go into.
I've never had a solicitor ask for fees up front. It would be the first thing to ring alarm bells.0 -
My lesson is learnt there, but I did swap to another online solicitor and he was excellent, I completed in the time before Wolstenholme actually did anything! So they all cant be bad. - Just Wolstenholme!0

Wolstenholmes are RUBBISH AVOID THEM!!!
Keen to take your money and id but never do any work. They must be crooks no one has any thing good to say about them. I still have not recieved back any of my documents as they promised me.0 -
As I said on the other thread regarding Wolstenholmes, the solicitor I am using there is not even on the website list.
Have you seen the vacancies available?
I am due to exchange shortly as we were suppose to do it by Friday.
In a funny sort of way I find my solicitor is helpful, but I do worry who else is doing the work.
We will see if there is progress next week.
Will the Authorities really do anything about them? Are there just some of us on here and other sites unhappy.
Will they prove alot of successful cases?
Will they just look for fraud and put delays down to chains and staff leaving?
People don't complain enough to the right places.
Big question is ....What happens if they are stopped from dealing with Property Conveyancing?Who takes over the operations if Exchanging and Moves are happening etc?
Maybe they will have to complete what is on their books without taking on any new business until they can prove they can handle it.

We completed Thursday & the move went well. It took from the beginning of June, to the 10th September, 6 different people dealing with us, & 4 in our chain.
The final 3 weeks were good, with calls being answered, emails being sent, & even calls to us!! If they had been like that from the begining, I would never have looked at this forum. Hopefully, thanks to all your posts & to those that seem to want to improve their business who work there, it will start to improve.
Good luck with everyone elses move, just need to start unpacking now!0 -
yes i have to agree, they have been very good for the last month. Emails recieved from them with updates, plenty of calls from them, they even started to chase the sellers solicitor when they got a bit lax!!!
Finally exchanged, awaiting completion.
Wont mention the person dealing with my purchase now as i dont want that person to get bombarded with calls, but he/she has been exceptional, considering they only got the case passed to them about 5 weeks ago after the third incompetant person dealing with it messed up.
Fingers crossed that theres been a big shake up and have finally employed some decent staff!
will keep ya posted.:j0 -
has anybody succeeded in making a purchase with this firm?0
