Good luck! Let us know how you get on. Why not use a recommended local solicitor you can pop in on to sign paperwork etc?!0

I personally wouldnt send anything to this lot....we have sent 3 loads of paperwork and yet they say they havent got any of them..mmm sure if it was a cheque they would have got that ok!!!
Buying a house is a very stressful time and your certainly dont need this lot adding to it...a hard lesson learnt is one we shure will nver forget !!!0 -
Well,
There you go. seems they are not all they said they were cracked up to be. I asked for my money back, but hey, has to go through finances, and can take around 2 weeks. great, but at least ill get my money back. Some time!
The bottom line... DONT USE THEM!

Hi guys
had similar experiences
had offer made on house april. limited communication via solicitor.
asked for updates via phone and then email on numerous occasions.
Estate agents in chain above us knew more about the people purchasing our house then we did, couldnt get any info from our solicitors.
only dealt with case assistant not solicitor, and then found out solicitor/conveyansor dealing with our case had left.
People we wanted to buy off - their solicitors and their estate agents sent over the copy of the HIP to ours 7 times, in the end the estate agents contacted me and I sent it to the solicitors directly.
to cut a long story short, our buyers at last minute pulled out, said that if they had completed earlier they would have had more money available (not sure about this) but either way, its been a drawn out process, not good communication, we still dont know what the next steps are, house sale and therefore our purchase has fallen through and we are back to square one, so will see if I can get money back.
its a rubbish process. can anyone advsise us if we are able to bill our buyer for dropping out for costs we have occurred (i.e. mortagage arrangement fee, house valuation fee etc etc)
will let you know
Kind regards0 -
Oh No.
Thats crap! Hope you can get something back. Let us know. My origional solicitor left, and then the assistant to the new solicitor left. Seems to be a sinking ship.0 -
Do not use these solicitors. Wolstenholmes are a joke and should not be practising. I used them to sell a house. There was no chain and could not be a simpler conveyancing. They lost letters I and the buyers solicitor had sent, lost the deeds to my house, they even lost the contract and delayed the sale, even though they where sent recorded delivery and had been received.
You get no communication from them. They do not even answer the phones to you or reply to emails. My estate agent could not contact them for updates etc. They are rude and a unprofessional organisation. Even when my house was sold, I received no call to say the monies have been exchanged etc. I had to call the bank and inform the estage agent so the new buyer could move in.
DO NOT USE THESE COWBOYS.0 -
i cannot over state to anyone thinking of using this bunch of charlatans to stay away. we have finally completed but only after so such stress from their shabby business practice. they are so unprofessional it defies belief that they are allowed to continue.0
