Thinking about it logically, do you honestly think the 'headquarters' of the above companies trading in whatever are really based out of semi detatched or even terraced houses in county durham??? Many of which not even worth anywhere near as much as the businesses that are supposedley running from there make in less than a week? ;)

Oh I realise that the real 'headquarters' of these dodgy companies are not semi detached houses in County Durham. :) The 'real' locations are in the USA, Canada and Spain. ;)

But questions need to asked about why so many US /Canadian companies are using Cyprus and UK Ltd shell companies - money laundering?? tax evasion?? multiple merchant accounts to avoid being shut down for excessive chargebacks? something else?? Something dodgy seems to be going on anyway!

At least 4 seemingly unconnected companies/people/scams are all using UK Ltd companies with various County Durham addresses - in some cases dozens and dozens of different UK Ltd companies.

All 4 of these scams are or have used UK Ltd companies in county Durham:

Dazzlesmile / Jesse Willms / Just Think Media / Gillmap Ltd etc (real location, Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada)
    http://www.webcops.net/just_think_media_spam_scams_8001.html

Viv 3 Labs / Life Cleanse / Trading Planet Ltd / LB CyberNet Entertainment Ltd / Clay Douglass and Mitch Platt (real location Barcelona? and/or US??)

    http://www.ripoffreport.com/Drug-Manufacturers/VIV-3lab-Ltd/viv-3-labs-also-trading-as-ka-7b27b.htm

emillionaire / Brock Felt (work from home scam) (real location: Florida, USA)
    http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/base/thread?tid=731ed5d8320c6794&hl=en

Steve Comer / Google Treasure Chest / Pacific Webworks (work from home scams /Google 'Kits') (real location: Utah, USA)

All 4 (and perhaps others too) linked to County Durham addresses - why??

  • The below address is no longer correct!

Okay, but you posted here that the 'new' address "Suite G7 is simply a temporary solution in order that all mail to that address may be collected and forwarded in a timely manner." The websites of these scammers are now listing that Suite G7 address as their address on their various websites and yet a poster here claims that "if trading standards or anyone else for that matter call in to see these theives in G7 in the West Wing then they won't have any luck. this is just a small room rented out by the thieves for storage, they actually operate out of G4, G5 and G6 in the same building.
the company name you mention is not displayed anywhere in building and is not familiar with the other tenants sharing the building, very 'undercover'!!
    "

Not to mention that the way they are selling their products online in the UK means they are failing to abide by the distance selling regulations and by failing to list their real address on their website (not a fake one) they are in breach of the Companies House regulations. Not to mention all the other more serious allegations against these companies...!

So clearly you do know the real address and identity of these people if you are able to forward mail and complaints? If you are as you claim an innocent part in all of this have you informed the police or the SFO about what is going on?

i rang this number 08082389891 to cancel, but i dont have an order number that they have asked for, what should i do as this is worrying me now.

    EDIT.

this morning i got though to them on this number 08082389891 and cancelled both easy white and clean whites. i was given 2 cancellation numbers and sent 2 cancellation emails from them. i was told i can keep the 14 day trial and i wont be billed or sent any more items.

do you think this is the end of it, or i will still have problems with them. i am still going to close my bank account today.

    EDIT

i have rang them up again to comfurm that both had been cancelled and that no other moneys will be taken from me. and they said that as i cancelled within the 15days and within the terms and conditions i will not be billed or have any moneys taken from me. i also ask if they signed me up to any other offers other than the 2 i have now cancelled and they said no.
just hope now that its over and i wont have any more problems with them.

have also sent a letter to my bank with the cancellation numbers for both with the dates to show i cancelled within the 15days trial.

I've done exactly the same - ordered yesterday, emailed them saying I was cancelling using the consumer protection act and also phoned - they were very good about it and I got 2 emails with cancellation (worryingly without the original order numbers). I'm talking to my credit card company and telling them I have cancelled in the cooling off period and not to allow any payments to go out. Can't see that I'll get my postage back but you never know. The fact it was easy is causing me to be very suspicious. This was through "Go White" and "TeethMaxWhite".

Will update when I find out more.

Ok, I have my cancellation numbers and have requested in writing that they will not take any money from my card. They need to 'escalate' this (the call centre won't have the authority, and I suspect I'll get nothing from the initial company who have a continuous payment authority on my card until they admit to cancelling it). The CC company are being quite helpful and agree to put it in dispute and will dispute any further payments. If all else fails, I will close the account (not the card) and open another - it's an online currency card so easy to do.

    Fingers crossed.
  • Scam link to UK cashback site??

Here is another one of these fake blogs promoting this scam:
    http://www.consumer-daily-news.com/whiteteethtip/index.php?a=108016&b=165&c1=celebrity%20big%20brother

The interesting bit is the tracking links (to hide the affiliate link and referrer) go via red-hot-offers.com eg: http://www.red-hot-offers.com/12.php?a=108016&b=177&c1=celebrity%20big%20brother

Well I got my cancellation confirmation email. They say they won't be taking any more money. We'll see. I've run down the card and the company know to keep an eye on it.
  • does anyone have any contact numbers to ring up and cancel these scammers SUP*MAXIMIZEYOU
  • Whilst on the internet looking for whitening products I clicked on a link for brighter teeth offering a free trial and the only thing I had to pay for was P&P. How wrong was I?? 2 days after ordering I went on onto the Everbrights website and saw all the complaints about it being a scam. I quickly cancelled my free trial delivery and thought that was the end of it. How wrong, that was in Jan, today I found out they took £152 from my account and even had the cheek to charge my overseas shipping, I havent received a thing!!!! This site needs to be banned and it has put me off of ordering from the internet again. I am a single mum and that was my first internet shopping experience and the last!! My bank have cancelled my card (TSB) and will credit my account with the payment taken out, hopefully. Beware of Everbright!! I saw tonight they are still advertising!!!

    Regards,

    Katrina
