  • It has been brought to my attention that DHL are delivering......
  • Ok - my wife got caught realised and cancelled her card. She got billed again as per the usual operating stance.

How do we go about contacting the fraudsters for a cancellation - we did recieve a sample which we still have?

the payment went out for ultifreshwell by the way which isn't listed as far as I could see yet on the 2009!!!!! investigation site mentioned earlier.

My wife is going spare and is really upset by this - so after googling and finding this thread I hoped I could find out how to stop it.

The payments are on a CC [Laura Ashley] and the the balance is clear other than these payments.

please help, I really hate to see my loved one cry and yes she does fully understand how stupid she has been! to get sucked in and just want to stop further payments and end this!

    thanks in advance

    Darren
  • Just as an update and may help someone?

I found the email that Dazzlewhite had sent my wife and basically at 12:00 midnight called the 0-808-120-1987 number which not surprisingly went to the States.
Went through a account login with the agent, asked if I could cancel and he stated that we already were??? I asked for him to confirm 100% that all subscriptions were cancelled and also to any affiliates - he stated they were BUT refused to send written confirmation in an email. I asked if he could tell me what services/affilates we had been signed up for and he said that he couldn't know from his 'system' and the only people that would know is us!
The reason it turns out we were cancelled is because we cancelled the card, they tried to take money and it was obviously refused, my wife when cancelling said she believed she had been a victim of fraud [ not sure that was significant in buttons pressed or flags set at the CC co? ]
We rang the CC co today to confirm that no payments were pending on the new card either under the name that was on last months statement or any odd looking 'health co' in dollars ?
"no" was the reply "and as the fraudsters do not have your card details they cannot charge it"

so unsure if this is the end, but the calls I had to Dazzlewhite [and oddly he asked which product it referred to!!] last night, kind of confirmed that, I was told as we couldn't pay [they had tried to take money from the cancelled card], the system automatically dropped us out of the subscription? I'm still sceptical, but the call we had with our CC today does seem to add weight to this.

The agent did say that we couldn't have a refund as we were over the 30day period or something....I replied by saying " I do hope that you are getting paid a lot of money to do this job, because the pain and torment the people you work for or contracted to answer phones for are taking hard earned cash from people" there wasn't a response to that other than the laughable, thanks for calling BS, anything else we can help with.......
  • Oprah sues Just Think Media / Jesse Willms (Dazzlewhite company)

"A Sherwood Park-based company is one of several firms being sued by Oprah Winfrey for reportedly using her likeness to market and sell dietary products online, ABC News' 20/20 reports. The American news organization reported that Just Think Media is one of at least 40 Internet marketers that have been named in a lawsuit launched by Harpo Inc., producers of The Oprah Winfrey Show and The Dr. Oz Show."

However I think this is just a report on the existing lawsuit which was filed in September??

The same report also says "Dazzle White or Dazzle Smile............was investigated by Service Alberta in October after receiving more than 700 consumer complaints."

But it doesn't say what (if anything they did or are doing about it!)

  • This is the reply, Which i think shows that a lot of people are doing something about it and if enough of us keep putting pressure on companies dealing with Dazzle & Co it will make it more difficult for them to operate.

I am shocked and surprised to read the information you have provided and can confirm that we have already taken steps to ensure we will no longer fulfil any product for Just Think Media.

Excellent result - well done. :T
Even if Just Think Media /Farend/Dazzlewhite do just go off and find another company to deliver their products, anything which makes life difficult for the scammers is a good thing. Shows that it's worth writing to anyone who deals with them to make them aware of who they are doing business with - Rackspace (webhosts for Just Think Media); BTB Mailflight - (Delivery, fulfillment); Affiliate networks; any online media carrying their advertising (pulse360.com, Adblade etc) - they are all wittingly or unwittingly aiding a scam and any reputable/ethical business will not ignore this when made aware of it.

  • Jesse Willms / Just Think Media (the person and company behind the Dazzlewhite scam) have been featured on an American consumer affairs programme called ABC News 20/20 - you can watch the short clip online here (it's on after the ad and the bit about hotels at -03.20). They even visited the Head Office of Just Think Media looking for Jesse Willms but the receptionist kicked them out:

  • I have been on this thread for hours now.Reading all whats gone on it's a living nightmare!!!
I too have fell for this scam. on my bank statements i have had £148 + £88.90 and £53.97. taken out of my account.:mad: I rang my coop bank as soon as i noticed that £148 had gone out of my account. I asked her if i should close the account to stop any more payments coming out without my consent and she said no, they are fully aware of this and i will get a refund. A few days later i find the other two payments had gone out of my account. I have put in a dispute at the bank which they told me to do. I have managed now to cancel my so called memberships with immaculate white now everbright smiles. and premium white now dazzlesmile today. However just an hour ago i received a 4 week supply from everbright smiles. I did not have to sign for this. What should i do?. Should i just leave it and say i never received it or return this. When i rang today to cancel, the lady on the phone said that there was a package on it's way to me and i told her that i didn't want it and that i want to return it and get a full refund but she said no. I am at a loss to know what to do next. Any ideas? I would be so gratefull.

Warning: there is a 'free' whitening scam going around [and also a slimming pill/acai berry scam]

Be wary about giving a continuous authority on your cc.
  • my mum got this tooth whitner from dazzle white as part of a free trail all she needed to pay was post and packaging.... too good to be true right. unauthorised payments started comming out of her barclays account one for £14.99 and the other for £54. She contacted the fraud squad and they confirmed they were fully aware of this sort of scam and issued a request to ultifreshwell to cancel payments and assured my mum that if any further payments were deducted from her account from this company then the bank would refund the money.... problem solved.

Wrong further payments have been taken from the account this month for the exact same amount of money from a diffrent company. Again Barclays contacted and they know that companies are associated and it is a scam but can do nothing about it. Advice was to contact the company to cancel the subscription ( what subscription??????????) however we have tried the numbers on here and cant get through to any of them what can we do they can continue to take money as they please. I spoke to the bank and i suggested that we close my mums account and re open another Barclays have said WE WILL BE IN BREACH OF CONTRACT. We are at the end of the line my mum can not afford these payments please please a step by step guide would be sooooo much appreciated the bank wont help and neither have the consumer help line that we have rang. Arnt banks supposed to protect customers when they know its a scam and we have asked for the payments to stop. Thanks in advance for any help x
  • Hi Kaylz
As you can see there are a lot of us on here trying to get out of this scam, we are all in the same boat. I have to tackle the RBS credit card.
I personally am going to tackle it as follows,
The origanal order of a "free sample" was disputed with my ccc due to (1) goods were cancelled the same day, i got email and online transcript from the dazzlewhite site. This is currently ongoing with my ccc although they have not been in contact with me since i sent all the info to them by registered post back in November.
Any other payments taken by any other company will be disputed as a fraudulent transaction as i have never agreed to any other offer from any site. how this will pan out i do not yet know.
If yours is a bank and they dont or (cant) help you then i would suggest you open a new current account with another bank so that all your income goes in to that account, clear and close your first account. At least that way you have still got money to live on, you can then dispute any and all requests for money. Also another way is to claim your cards have been "lost" or "stolen" then any request after you have reported them as gone will not be honoured.
These winkers are up in court and hopefully will get what is coming to them. Keep your chin up mate and enjoy your christmas. Dont let the evil !!!!!!!s get you down.
