Virgin wines order cancelled?

    Looks like the delivery charge will have to be refunded,as I cannot see them delivering before Monday....

    Mike the haggler - Ive just phoned the customer service and had a not very good chat!

    They firstly said my wine was delivered on tuesday at 5pm - rubbish as I have been in all week, no one has delivered any wine - my instructions were to leave with a neighbour, they said it was left on the doorstep! it definately wasnt.

    They were very apologetic and said of course we can get another case of wine to me, then he mentioned about the voucher - asking questions if I had the actual paper sent to me? then saying they can send another case of wine but it has to be a more expensive one so this voucher can be used against it. They have debited my account though!!!

    I told them they were lying about it being delivered, and that they have had my money since tuesday and I was going to complain - he told me to contact this Shaun Grint!

    I am absolutely seething I can tell you!!

    Mine was ordered on Sunday and delivered on Tuesday

    I ordered a cotes du rhone which was certainly not brilliant, but it is drinkable. I've bought worse cotes du rhone from french supermarkets before. I often buy wines at Tesco that cost between £2 and £2.50, such as Canti Rosso and Tesco's Australian red. To our taste buds this was not as nice as the two Tesco wines I've just mentioned, but nicer than some french table wines we've had. I bought 6 bottles of the cotes du rhone, so at one pound something a bottle I'm quite happy, that's roughly the same price I would probably pay in France

    The costieres de nimes we rate slightly above the cotes du rhone, but still not better than the two Tesco wines mentioned above

    The Barbera my wife thinks is OK (she likes weaker wines than me), but I'm using it for cooking. Still better than a lot of french supermarket table wines though

    Overall I would say these are probably worth about £2 a bottle at UK prices, so at the price I paid they're good value for money, but I certainly wouldn't pay Virgin's normal prices...

    had mine delivered on Thursday :T

    When did you place your order? Mine was supposed to be delivered Wednesday and then Thursday evening received email to say it had been cancelled.
    All my savings are going on the family holiday!

    Off to Majorca again this year ;-)

    Sorry to hear the crap you got off virgin, feel they are trying to squirm,turn out of this one, I believe that once they`ve taken the payment,they should provide the goods you`ve paid for,I requested to wait a while till I get to door,
    look`s like bring it on Monday, in a business sense they are actually a client of ours

    just to let you know: got email from Shaun Grint yesterday, apologising for the poor customer service i got and was mis-informed in my phone call.

    He said the courier said it was delivered, but i know it wasnt - anyway they are dispatching another case of wine with no further charge to me :j

    Just see if it arrives!

    At least they have offered to replace it, something positive. Now the case that was ordered by family hasn't arrived yet either and it said dispatched about a week ago. Although I've got a funny feeling that if I send an email to them or give them a call then I won't get such a good result. May just be easier to chargeback on the card and forget about it.

    Yep, I called today, said they had delivered it on the 4th , no way, they are now sending another free of charge

  • Hi Alan, someone called ralph, he asked about the code , I just said could not remember offhand, he then put through the order free of charge, I did not push for the delivery refund ! i.e not delivered with seven days!
