I wouldn't worry - no doubt all he wants to say is "You can still order the wine at full price" like he did to us :rolleyes:0

So why email saying it was due to T&Cs of the contract?
I am a VIP virgin member and used the code. My wine wasn't delivered yesterday as stated, order is still being assembled, yet I haven't received a cancellation email either. All my savings are going on the family holiday!
Off to Majorca again this year ;-)0 -
My sister got her wine yesterday and has ordered some more using the code she got to "invite a friend" (our dad has suddenly become her new best friend lol
) She has ordered from the clearance lines and the voucher was accepted.
Seems like Virgin aren't learning from their mistakes. That is if they don't cancel on her.0 -
I'm still waiting for mine to arrive......... (order says left warehouse, and have had no cancellation email - hoping it may come today) everyone else seems to have had theirs already, I know delivery is within 7 days.0

They certainly can't take a joke!
I've been spammed continuously by them for the last 6 months, ever since I changed my mind on a purchase. Am going to insist they remove my details under data protection. Fair consumer revenge I feel.0 -

They rang me again yesterday, so I told them in no uncertain terms they were breaking the regulations of the telephone preference service I was registered with, and I would lodge a complaint with them if they rang again. The gimp on the phone tried to say I'd agreed to calls when I "tried to use the voucher" I told him it had nothing to do with the voucher, and the only calls I'd agreed to were about the delivery of my order.
As there isn't going to be a delivery, they're not allowed to ring me. You'd think they could grasp that wouldn't you :rolleyes:0 -
i've just checked my order status and it's changed overnight to 'order has left warehouse'.I'm in the £2.00 club! terramundi cracked open Christmas Day £748
Started a new one Boxing Day!

Thanks for that. I'm registered with the preference service too so that's a good one to have up my sleeve. What ghastly people...It's ok when they're continually bombarding us with ****and can use their own t&c's to catch us. Tesco has gone up in my estimation - at least the majority of times they honour their own !!!! ups. These orders were not only accepted by their own website but confirmed by their own c.s. As far as I'm concerned the voucher which couldn't be used, couldn't have been the ones they accepted online or it would have been rejected by their own system AND I'm a genuine new customer. But not any more....lack of foresight if you ask me.0

"Dear Virgin Wine,
I am absolutely disgusted that you have cancelled this order, stating terms
and conditions. You have honoured this deal with several of my friends and
a whole host of others who saw the voucher via a wine site i frequent.
This was to be my first order from Virgin Wines, now it will also be my last.
I will also be forwarding my observations to friends and family and my
website, of the poor way customers are treated with Virgin.. I will also be
forwarding my concerns to Virgin Head Office.
A disgruntled potential customer!!"
I, today, got this back:
Thank you for your E-mail.
I have tried to call you today re this issue and would really like to chat
to you re this, but have been unable to get hold of you.
I will try again tomorrow, or if you prefer you can call me direct on the

Feel guilty now as i know it was a glitch in their system which we took adavantage of. But what do i say when he calls?!
I sent a very simmilar email and got the same mail response you had - word for word! And they never did try to phone - i was in all day - and they say they'll try again - he didnt! So a email was sent to me saying the code was for a £65 order but you still may use the code and up the order to £65.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! :mad:0
