Hey missymoo, thank you for stopping by to my diary.
No cold yet I'm happy to report, thank god, but walked to work and home again today, it's becoming a bit of a habit this. But its saving me money so that's good :j
Just heard the news and the South East is going to be really badly hit this weekend with snow, great! And here was me hoping we'd seen the last of it.
I'm meant to be getting my hair cut and coloured tomorrow, i booked it when i got back from holiday as the salon said they were doing half price colour in January. But i walked past the salon earlier and no signs up like the usually do, so thinking they're not doing it now. I'm going to walk into town in the morning and find out, if there not doing the offer i won't get it done as can get it coloured cheaper elsewhere. Prob get a few bits in town whilst there. Its my best friends birthday next week, she's in New York at the mo, all the wedding party paid for her and hubby to go New York seeing as they had to spend their honeymoon with all of us in Mexico lol, so i need to get her birthday pressie tomorrow.
Sunday is going to be my day of doing lots of money saving things. During work hours i was looking how much it would cost to go to Rome in February and it's only £300 for OH and I. I looked on lots of different sites, then seared flights on their own with British Airways (a bit of a snob when it comes to holidays, i cannot fly with any budget airlines, it either has to be Virgin/British Airways or any of the big American companies) and then hotels, and its cheaper to book it all individually. I think i may surprise OH for his birthday. We normally spend £150 on each other for birthdays, so its not that much more to go away. So my aim is to make £100 on ebay to put towards it, and then use some of my Christmas money.
OH and i really need to go food shopping, but we don't want to risk getting the cars out. So hardly any food in, we're using up what's in the freezer, which is good in a way as we wouldn't usually use up the fish fingers or lasagna, so it's working out well really. Just need to get the usually bread and milk tomorrow, if there's any left when we get there.

You're doing so well with all this walking to work!
Have you got any ideas what you'll buy your friend for their birthday? hope you find something nice.
Very envious of your hair cut and colour.. my hair looks such a state at the min. I've been wearing my hat, tying it up and scrunching it to curl it to disguise how badly it needs a good cut.
Your trip away to Rome sounds fab too. I could just do with a nice holiday to somewhere warm! It's so cold!Money paid out from Topcashback so far= £105.89 :j

I'm enjoying the walking, but its difficult in the snow. Good exercise though.
I will probably get her something House of Fraser, oh and a primark gift card as she loves Primark lol. She will only go to the one in Manchester, but whenever she goes she always comes back with stuff that you wouldn't think was primark.
I only got mine cut and coloured 6 weeks ago, so if its not half price i'll give it a miss as it doesn't really need doing at the mo.
Rome will be cold i think in Feb. We both love Italy, so it'll just be a nice break, especially if i can get it for £300 for both of us, bargain.

We're using up freezer stuff too, but it's funny in't it that we wont eat the randoms left but we are the ones that bought them in the first place!
I would love to be able to go on holiday a lot like you, a perk of not having children I guess.0 -
I know YB, isn't it weird. It's great to get it all used up though, i would've only thrown it away in a couple of months once it reached it use by.
Yup a perk which we are taking advantage off, we'll probably have children in a couple of years, and we'd like to get the places on our wish list done before then.
