Hi Hayles, just had a catch up. Glad you enjoyed your holiday and the wedding.

We havent had a single flake of snow yet luckily but your journey home sounded a nightmare! xxx

  • Our postie hasn't been since Thursday due to the snow, so I'm hoping it gets delivered early next week. My OH has ordered all his pressies online and none of them have turned up yet, fingers crossed they arrive at the begging of next week. I've ordered a few bits from Firebox and only paid for the standard delivery, i've just had to call them to change it to special delivery and pay the extra because my goods have not moved from the warehouse since Tuesday, so much for standard delivery getting here for Christmas.

I've just been out and cleared 6 inches of snow from my car, i also started to up to checked it still worked lol. Luckily it sounded fine, didn't dare take it out though as i would probably end up in a tree.

I'm watching sky sports at the mo and not very happy that Man united are losing 3-0 to Fulham, its making me a bit grumpy! Once this has finished its Chritmas films time. When i was little i loved watching the film Prancer every year, but for the last 4 years they haven't put it on. Home Alone it is then i think :-)

  • Haha - yeah that did cheer me up Penguin, would've been better if Chelsea lost today too, cheating gits!!

Well today i managed to get to the shops, i walked. It didn't take as long as i'd first thought, only 29 mins, i thought it would take a good hour. It was a lovely walk in the snow whilst listening to my tunes on my ipod. I managed to get quite a bit whilst there too, just a few more bits to get now, and then I'm done :D

All my family keep asking me what i want for Christmas, but i can't think of anything so just asked for money. There is one thing i really want, an iphone, but the contracts on Orange and O2 are just ridiculously expensive.

Back to work tomorrow, still lots of snow here, but least i know that i could walk it in under 30 mins so no excuses for me not going in

Glad you managed to get most your christmas shopping done.

All the snow has gone here, so no exscuses for me. Only two days at work though yay.
  • Thanks Wendz, i still need to get more, so i think me and my sister are going to head to Bluewater tomorrow eve and finish off our shopping. Its open till 11pm so will not go until 7pm, hopefully then it won't be as busy, unless everybody thinks like me and waits lol.

My OH has said London now has snow, do you have any snow yet Wendz? I finish tomorrow as well, roll on 6pm Tuesday!

The transport round here was a little bit better today, i managed to get to work on the bus and back again fine. I took my car out for a little spin around the block just now, just wanted to check it worked okay and wasn't frozen to the ground. It sounded fine, so fingers crossed not more problems for a while.

I'm just finishing making my nieces Disney Princess hamper, its wicked, i hope she will love it just as much as i have loved making it for me. It's cost me £70 including the basket, and is full of different Disney Princess bits, and is all girly pink and very pretty. Can't wait to give it to her.

Hopefully after tomorrow i will have all the present done!!! Phew.

Ahh the princess hamper sounds great, I would have loved that. Actually I would still love that now hehe, I am a right girly girl.

Yeah snowed this afternoon. I wore healed boots to work as there was no snow this morning and so was a bit on the slippy side walking home. i made it though!
  • Thanks Wendz, it really is so sweet, i would've loved that as a little girl. Maybe i'll keep it :-)

Well yesterday my sister and I went to the dreaded Bluewater in the evening, we didn't get there till 8pm and decided to stay till the end, thinking at 11pm it would be a little bit less busy on the roads....how wrong was i???? It was proper back up and didn't get home till 1 am, i did have to drop my sister off though. Usually only takes half hour to get back. Didn't finish all my shopping so had to pop to the shops again today, another nightmare, but i have finally finished my christmas shopping - woohoo!!! Just need to make my crackers now and wrap all the pressies. I have gone a bit mad this year and spent nearly £800 on pressies £450 of that was on OH. I got him a new ipod, PSP, and lots of other little bits like aftershave gift set etc. I've also done him a stocking full of really cool bits :j:j:j i much prefer giving at xmas than receiving. The PSP was an extra thing i only bought yesterday, and I'm not going to give it to him till the evening on Christmas day. So after the days out the way, all he thinks he's opened all his pressies, I'm going to surprise him with an extra gift :D he's put up with so much from me this year so deserves it!!!

Just about to order Dominos for us then start wrapping and making the crackers :j

Ouch on the money front, but I know you have no debt so enjoy it.
