I know, i'm so excited, not so much about the 11hr plane journey as i have come to really fear flying, all the times we've been to the states i've been fine, but since our trip in the summer i really don't like it anymore. It doesn't help having a OH who finds it funny and will try and scare me as much as poss
I won £5 on BB this morning, i then decided to gamble it on my favourite slots and won £55 :j yay! I'm so tempted to play some of it and try and win more, hmmm. I think i will withdraw, and then put the money towards the exhaust.
I best start getting ready for the dreaded W word - why i didn't book off these days before the holiday i don't know. The very best things in life ... are free!

Nice win well done.
Enjoy the holiday, it's going to be so good, jealous lol0 -
I'm back!!!!! We got back on Saturday morning to the cold weather. It was a shock to go from 35 degrees everyday to -2 at Gatwick. It was been a amazing two weeks though, i can not recommend Mexico enough. It was probably one of the best weddings ever, and also best holiday ever!! There was 18 of us in total, just close friends and family and we all got on so well, we really didn't want to leave. Unfortunately the bride and I got poorly on the last night, and have only just recovered. It wasn't very nice being poorly on the 10 hour plane journey, so i was looking forward to getting home to my bed. For those of you who know me on FB i will add some pics soon for you to see.
Not had the greatest couple of days back. You know i said my cars playing up, well we took it to Kwik-fit yesterday and they said the exhaust had completely gone and i also need a new battery, which would cost me £720  :mad: unfortunately i had to pay it was i want to sell it soon. Talk about make me poor just before Christmas. I have just been to pick it up and on the way back noticed whenever i put the clutch down it make a rattling sound. It wasn't like that when i took it in so have to call them tomorrow morning. I'm praying its not another problem, knowing my luck its probably the clutch now  This car is nothing but problems. Its cost me nearly £1K in 6 months. I only paid £1.5K for it. I really just wanted to get rid and buy a Mini, but this rate i just be able to afford one.
This month, what with the holiday and spending money, and car repairs, its been a VERY expensive month for me. I'm really wishing i didn't have to buy Christmas pressies, i just can't afford them.
I have just wrote a list of all the presents i need to buy and it totals near £400  i don't know what to do.
I really don't feel organized for Christmas this year and I'm feeling like scrooge, i never normally feel like this at Christmas.
Anyways, i have loads of ironing to do from holiday, so instead of keep looking at it i think i'll make a start.

Glad you had a great holiday!
That is so annoying about your car, so much money to have to pay for it especially if you want to sell it. Hope the clutch thing wasn't anything.0 -
Glad you had a lovely holiday and enojed the wedding!
God you poor thing what a huge bill you've paid for your car! The clutch doesnt sound good, sounds like the clutch release bearing has gone....haha like to me trying to a be a mechanic! pmsl, sorry my old car had the same thing happen an thats what it was and it needed a new clutch.
Strange its only just started happening after they give it back though. I hope thats not what the problem is anyway!

Thanks girls, it was one of the best holidays ever! The bride and groom are just the bestest friends ever. You may be able to see some of the hols pics on FB as my mate has tagged me in some.
Well i started up the car today and the noise has gone, took it for a test drive and still no noise, so fingers crossed its gone and never to return, while i have it anyway lol.
Tell me about it, i go a bit mad at christmas. My OH and I normally spend £150+ on each other, and i have a lot of family, and OH's family, so it all adds up. I have finished my nieces gift, i have done her a Disney Princess hamper full of Disney Princess bits, its wicked. All the stuff come to £50 so thats her done, just want to buy her the dvd Night at the Museum 2 which won't be much. So that's one done, plenty more to go.....
On the plus side, our Christmas tree is up, its a real one, and it looks really good, so I'm a little happier about christmas now. Still think its a great big con, it'll be different when we have children of our own i keep telling myself.
Oh my god, did anybody else have snow today? we had a little and it was settling, it's very icy out there now though, so everybody be careful peeps. It feels great being in the warm and snuggling up on the sofa. Just really looking forward to the wedding and having a Sunday of christmas movies and vegging on the sofa :jThe very best things in life ... are free!

What a mad couple of days. It was our works do at the Emirates Stadium last night, it was a great evening, didn't get that drunk and was tucked up in my hotel room by 2am. Unfortunately it was ruined by trying to get home this morning. It was snowing a bit last night in north london but not enough to settle, so waking up to my OH texting me to say we have 8-10 inches in Kent and all the trains have been cancelled or severely delayed was not great. 3 of us left the hotel at 9am this morning, and got back home at 3pm  London is only under an hour on the train, usually! We have to get a cab to the station, then from the station find a train which is going near home, wasn't any running to had to go half way home then spend £90 on a cab, thats after paying £15 each on train tickets. Oh well, we are finally home now and have just got back from a walk to the shops in the snow with OH.
Not much planned for the weekend now as i very much doubt i'll be able to get to the shops to start my xmas shopping. Normally i've finished by this point so i'm getting very worried now.
Tonight I'm going to make a warm casserole and watch movies with OH.
I still have piles of ironing to do from holiday, one thing that i could do this weekend nowThe very best things in life ... are free!

Today is an indoors day, keeping out the cold and watching movies with OH. I hope to venture in to town tomorrow, but we still have 6 inches of snow here so may be difficult, if i can't drive or get the bus i will just have to walk it, its about an hour walk, but will be nice in the snow. I have a big list of things i need to get, so i'm hoping they're still in stock otherwise will have to order them on Amazon and pay the premium delivery service which will cost £8.50.
OH and I didn't wake up till 11.30 today, i think our bodies were catching up from sleep from holiday.
Off to watch some chistmassy movies now. I really wanted my make your own christmas crackers pack to arrive today, i fancied a crafty day making Christmas bits. I have decided i'm going to make our crackers this year and put a little goody in there and also a £2 christmas scratchcard. I will be very peed if my OH's mum or dad won big on their scratchcards lol.

What a nightmare about getting home from your work do. The snow has melted here pretty much and they have gritted all the pavements thankfully so I haven'y been slipping all over the place.
I am having a chilled weekend of christmas films too, shame your cracker kit didn't turn up!0
