Thats a great way of thinking Lizzi. I'm definitely going to try and think more like that before i buy anymore clothes, or shoes, or hangbags!

Hi Hayles, just popped in to see how you are doing. Well done on the extra overtime and the mystery shop, all these things will soon add up x x x

  • Thats what I'm hoping Penguin! Also got a quite a few hours overtime next month, so that'll be nice. On average i usually do 10-15 hours a month extra, which works out around £300.

Been a lovely weekend so far. OH and I popped into town in the morning, was nice to get all our little bits done before it got busy, only spent £23 on a boxset in HMV, but i'm going to sell it on Amazon once i've finished with it. We also went to the library and i got a few more books as i've finished the ones i got last week, whilst in there i rented out The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. Then when we got back we popped to Sainsburys and done the recycling, and then chilled in the afternoon. I cooked us dinner and then we watched the film - what a great movie, very sad but still very good.

Off to OH's mums today for a BBQ - so hopefully that will mean its a NSD, the first this month. We have a few bottles of Rose in the fridge, so will take those and have a lovely chilled afternoon in the sun.

Just printed out the details for the mystery shop tomorrow - looks very easy!

  • Monday over with, getting clothes ready for Tuesday now!

Today i only spent £2.65 - half of that was travel so I'm happy with that.

Boxset i bought Saturday sold today for £14 today - so will post that tomorrow. YES, i've watched it already, it was the only way to stop me going out spending money lol.

    I'm hoping for 4 NSD's this week.

It was the only way Yuk to stop me going out spending money lol. It worked so thats good.

Anyways, today has been a fairly good day, VERY VERY busy at work, and i'm not liking the 11 hour days, but its 4.5 hours overtime a day so thats going to be nice at the end of September.

I only spent money on travel today £3.40 & £4 on lunch. I know tut tut to the lunch, but leaving for work at 7am doesn't give me enough time to make something before i leave.

Roll on bank holiday weekend I say - oh and payday on Friday! woohoo! Then again most of that is spent already so not much of a fun September for me. My own fault for buying to many clothes this month. I may try and do a bootsale Sunday, but we're at a wedding reception Sunday eve so i don't really want to get up at 5 am when I'm out that evening. I'll see what i can find to sell then decide i think.

Off to update spending diary now!

    Hiya,

Septemeber is going to be a tough month for me as well I think. I need quite a lot of stuff and then is 2 of my best friends and my sisters birthdays.

Well done on the OT though that will help with the spending

    Hiya Wendz,

Thats a lot of birthdays for September, i hate it when everyones birthdays fall in the same month. I keep saying i will start putting £25 away each month for birthdays/christmas but it never happens.

No overtime today so haven't got to be in till 10 am - so catching up on here for half hour. Next month i should be able to do 20+ hours overtime so that'll be good for Octobers pay.

Payday today - didn't manage much overtime in July so its deffo going to be a tight month - but I'm prepared for it. The biggest spend this month will be my dentist appointment, but luckily i have dental insurance so can claim most of that back - and it usually only takes 72 hours to receive the cheque.

    xx

Today was definitely not a NSD unfortunately - my OH and I went shopping for an outfit for tomorrows wedding, and i ended up spending £100. I did buy shoes, some new shirts for work, a nice top from Miss Selfridge, some make-up as i was in desperate need of some and i checked Boots and no offers, so went to Superdrug where Revlon was 3 for 2. Also had to buy my John Frieda Sheer Go Blonder shampoo/conditioner which cost me £12. I don't plan to buy anymore clothes this month, going to make do with what i've got.

Submitted my overtime for August on Friday, 36 hours - I'm very happy with that.

Not out tonight, which will save money. Night in watching footie, just watched my team Man United beat Arsenal, now watching Real Madrid. God i've missed watching Ronaldo. Why do i have such a thing for him?!

  • I can't believe its going to be Thursday already tomorrow - brilliant.

Had to spend a bit of money this week, been having to visit students all over south east and its costing me lots of money in petrol + money for parking, however i can claim back 40p per mile so i will do that at the end of the month. Should work out i make some money from it, i hope.

Met a friend for lunch today and that cost me £15, so must add that to my naughty spending in my spending diary.

I also bought a new work dress from Miss Selfridge on Monday so will need to add that also. My OH who's such a sweetie bought me a new top which cost £18, it was one he liked, and i didn't mind it, so said he would buy it for me.

I'm hopefully going to do a boostale at the weekend to get rid of the last of my junk before winter arrives. Looking to make about £50 if i could.

    I think thats about it....
