I'm here! Trying desperately to get back on track! I've started pointing again from Monday, but i'm going to be a chicken and not go to weigh in tomorrow as I know I've gained BUT, tomorrow is my new weight watchers week, so I'm looking forward to a loss next week!"I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0

Hiya,
Can i join too? I got weighed today, after not stepping on scales for a long time. I was nearly sick, I currently stand at 14st 6lb!!!!!!
I have never been slim but this is rediculous, i mean, i only weighed 12st 1lb at 8 months pregnant! I put on 3 lb my whole pregnancy but have managed to put on 2st 4 lb since then!
I am motivated not only by the size of me, but by everyone on here. thnx xx:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
Hi There!
After I posted yesterday, I left work and popped into the new gym (Curves) which has just opened up in the industrial estate where I work with the intention of finding out the costs etc. I joined there and then and also had my first work-out (in my work clothes!). I then went to SW and found that I'm still 1/2lb lighter than my all time high! It's all psychological I know!
So today is a red day and for once I'm feeling good about it. I also went to the gym at lunchtime and I'm really going to go at least 3 times a week.
Notice there is no "try" or "if I can" in that sentence.
My brother is getting married in September (15 weeks)so I would dearly love to lose a bit of weight before then. I would be happy with 2+ stones and I know that this is easily achievable in 15 weeks.
Sorry for the ramble:oMust learn not to count chickens before they are hatched!!!!:D
Every day is a new challenge not a new problem!:p
SW start 08/01/14 4/21lbs (1st target) :j0 -
:j Congratulations cheekymole:j
And congrats to everyone else, keep up the good work!!!!
Had my first weigh in at class on Monday (sorry, hardly looked at the pc in the evenings this week - too tired). Lost 5lbs, and finding this week really hard to keep motivated. I tend to start well, and then get depressed thinking i'm not losing. Like Honey, i find i don't want to go to class to hear i have gained, so miss a week, telling myself i will lose and go back the following week. Only the following week tends to stretch into a month, and so on.
But, i am aware of this pattern now, and bought a countdown to try and stop myself. Got to stick with it this time. And really trying not to get on the scales.
Someone at class this week was saying her husband hid her scales and she has spent 3 weeks with withdrawl symptoms looking for them.:rotfl: Maybe i should speak to my OH!!! He could hide them whilst i am at work!!!
How has everyone else done this week? Got any nice plans for the weekend? My OH is working this weekend, so i will need to go to bed early every night to avoid my usual binge sessions.......What's he building in there???
Debt at highest £30,450 (Dec 05)

Charlene, I know you might think you've put on weight, but you'd be better to go to your weigh in today. You might have maintained. Would you not be motivated to do better this week even if you have put on a few lbs? Any time I avoided my wi because I had a bad week, I never went back again. 10 years later and I'm trying to lose almost 6 stone, weight that I might never have put on if I'd gone to class on my bad weeks.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
I skipped the whole thread just to say exercise is the best thing you can ever do i weighed 15 stone a year ago (last june) within one and a half month i lost 2 and a half stone. Im back to 14 as ive been eating junk for the last 6 months. It comes off quick for me as i know what i need to do and work my  for it lol. But just thought i would say hi aswell havent been on thread for a while now. Prob too busy eating food lmao. Anyway good luck to the lot of you. take careIf people cant help people on these threads, then they should rather not say anything then say something which isnt any use to the person who needs help0

Welcome Aston's Mummy, you'll find lots to motivate you on this thread and lots of good advice too.
Well done on you're postive attitude tryingtobegood. Don't think about the weight you have to lose yet. Join the 2lb club and take it a wee bit at a time. We all have set backs. the best thing is you're moving forward.
Congratulations on 5lbs Lydia... that's amazing! It's good that you have a plan to stop yourself binging... I have a friend who lost 3 stone just by going to bed early every night to stop herself from overeating. (she's got way more discipline than me!)
Don't worry too much about the wine and chocolate delay tw1nklestar... I'm sure that the worst effects will be cycled off on your exercise bike this week. Well done for maintaining, and good luck for this week.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
Tryingtobegood - how was curves? I've looked into them (mostly on a website and looking at reviews) as a way to avoid going to a 'real' gym which i hate but they seem just as hard to like! Let me know how it goes.
Weighed in with a 1.5lb gain last night. Obviously a shame i gained but wonderful it is only 1.5 considering how much i've eaten in the last two weeks. As, I too, suspected i would have a gain i made sure my low syn lasagne and chips were ready to just pop in the oven when i got home after class so that i wouldn't be tempted to eat 15 slices of toast out of depression!
Am totally motivated again after the delicious lasagne!0 -
Incidentally, to anyone who has trouble staying to their classes, I would recommend the route i've taken. I go to Rosemary Conley classes which provide a low fat, calorie counting diet plus instead of having image therapy (or ww equivalent) they do a low impact aerobics class. It means i'm willing to go to class regardless of how well i've eaten that week because it gives me a chance to exercise!
I don't really like the diet they ask you to follow so i'm doing the SW food optimising instead (at least for now). The downside in doing it this way is obviously you don't get the benefit of talking to a lot of people following the same diet as you (unless you come on here!) nor the wisdom of a SW consultant or the SW password.
However i find it much easier to justify £20/month on a excercise class than on a dieting class.
This is all just my opinion and i'm lucky because i've found something that is working for me but it may work for someone else too! I dislike people who try to convince you that 'their' diet is the only one you should do and all the other ones are flawed!! That's certainly not what i'm going for here
Sheesh - unintentionally long post (had to double post so that i didn't pass the upload limit!)0
