I've weighed in this morning and found I have lost 2lbs! Very happy with that considering that I haven't been 100% strict with myself this week but I have done both my Dance Aerobics and Tap Dancing classes this week so maybe the weight loss is only due to my exercising. I bet if I had been 100% this week I would have had an even bigger loss but hey ho. I am good at breakfast time, I struggle but manage to steal myself to be good during lunchtime (we own a Sandwich Bar with lots of lovely butties and buns around me), however I think my willpower and energy has gone by about 5pm and it's even worse if I let DH cook as he hasn't got the hang of cooking healthily yet.
I will have to up the ante this week though. I hit the big '3-0' on Tuesday  and we are going out to the Chinese restaurant with the chocolate fountain again :T so I'm not counting Tuesday. I will miss my Dance Aerobics but might try and get to a different class depending on how much I have to do this week. I have also uncovered a mini trampoline in our attic that we were given yonks ago so I'm going to try and get 10 mins 'rebounding' a day in.
Lois Lane, I would love to be a member of the 2lbs club. I had 85 pounds to lose, now 82lbs and it's such a daunting amount when you say it like that or as 6 stone 1lb, that it almost puts me off! To break it down and concentrate on having a goal of 2lb a week would be brilliant. If I could meet my targets I would be at target within 43weeks! That's somewhere in the middle of February next year - brilliant!!!:T Might add my estimated target date into my signature......

Afternoon,
A very warm welcome to Bluemoon, Charlene and Fox2319.
Bobsa and Benjacksmum, well done on the weight loss this week. Each of you are one step closer to target! I have to say I love the sound of the chinese restaurant with the chocolate fountain - heaven! Have a great birthday, I'm 30 later in the year and plan to go to town with the celebrations! Any excuse really.
Cheekymole - glad you had a good days shopping. Pity about the straighteners.
Benjacksmum mentioned the mini trampoline - I've heard a few people mention this (can't remember if it was on here or somewhere else?) Are they good for boosting weight loss/good form of exercise?0 -
It's fun (like bouncing on the bed when you were little, lol). The following is from a web-site I found:-
Trampolining is a cardio vascular activity which also helps develop spacial awareness, coordination, fitness and agility. It also improves reactions and increases concentration. These benefits are clearly desirable abilities in our everyday lives.
Another important factor is the effect Trampolining has on our Lymphatic system.
The Lymphatic system, is a non circulatory system that the body uses to remove toxins from itself. This system does not have a pump as the blood system has the Heart. The system relies on activity and gravity to provide fluid motion through the system. One can easily appreciate the effect that bouncing will have on such a system. At the bottom of each bounce the body can undergo a force of 2G or twice the downward pressure gravity exerts on the body when at rest. Equally at the top of the bounce and during the downward transition the body experiences much less Gravity. This activity excites movement in the body's lymphatic system which benefits
the whole system. This is the case with both trampolining and rebounding.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Hello - I'm new! I lost 2 stone in 8 months with SW - it really does work if you stick to the plan. My top tip would be have all your HEs and make use of your Syns (I was having 15 syns a day and it meant I never felt deprived).
I have been reading this board for a couple of months now - it's been a great inspiration for maintaining my target weight. You are all so positive and share such good advice. The recipes and passwords have been useful too; the passwords particularly, because I only weigh in every 2-3 months now just to keep me on my toes and keep me off that spiralling downhill path! There have been a few wobbles along the way but I'm doing OK again at the moment, with your help. My consultant was fine about my less regular weigh ins but it meant I wasn't at the classes every week to get the password.
And that's why I'm a bit miffed about the whole password thing because they say when you reach your target you have the luxury of being a non-paying member for as long as you are +3/-3lbs of your target weight. And...a benefit of being a member (paying or non paying) is the password to access the online info! So basically, I am being penalised for not going to class every week even though I am at target weight!
Originally my consultant was good enough to email me 2 weeks' worth of passwords at a time but now she's stopped doing the classes, I'm a bit stuck!
Does consultant31 have an idea as to how target members can continue to access the password without having to turn up at class every week? My consultant was going to raise it with SW HQ but not sure if she ever got round to it.
Thank you & good luck to everyone with their weigh ins this week.
And sorry if I've rambled on a bit but this password thing is a real bugbear of mine!

Hi benjacksmum, welcome to the 2 pound club and good luck with your weight loss.
That's four of us now, anyone else want to join?
Well, thanks to the help I've received from GreenFingers, who runs the £2 coinsaving club, I now know how to display a list of members with their weight losses, so it's all systems go! The list is below and only has names at the moment, no figures.
Is everyone ok with having the list updated on Mondays? I'm going on holiday on Monday 19th June, so that's what I'm counting down to for my first target. I'll be back the following Monday, so I'm hoping I'll be able to do a quick skim read through the posts and get up to date again.

Wow nades - what an excellent result, well done you! :T
Do you do lots of exercise? And did you have a preference for Red or Green days?
Sorry about all the questions!

Hi Lois.
No I didn't exercise - it was just the big change in diet for me I think. Before SW I was living off lots of processed food before and had no idea how much sweets, crisps and chocolate I was eating until it came to writing down everything I ate on one of the SW food diaries. I was shocked. I think my body was too as I lost 6lbs in my first week! Then it was steady losses and a few gains until I got to target.
I had green days mostly, using one of the HE B choices for my portion of chicken or fish etc for my evening meal. I still do this now, infact it's chicken for tea tonight!
I found that bread was a big no-no for me. Perhaps it was just coincidence but I never had a loss in the week in which I had eaten bread!
Best wishes,
Nades.0
