Ok, Thanks Consultant31 - I think I'm clear on that, although I have had one too many glasses of wine  so anything would be clear as mud. I'll read that again in the morning :rotfl: It will make more sense then.0

Wonder if cheekmole has managed to spend all her Boots points and avoid the temptation of pub grub??
Hi All,
The only things I bought (well, got for free) was a Nintendo DS for DD and a pair of gas cartridge hair straighteners which are a load of rubbish. It was a lovely hotel and all I had was a slice of pizza and a bowl of salad and not forgetting to mention the wine!. It was an eat as much as you limke for brekkie and all I could manage was a bowl of all bran and half a slice of toast.
I think I did quite well considering although the scales will probably tell me different!I haven't got one!0 -
Just got weighed and I've lost 2lb this week so feeling a bit better about the whole diet thing.
As you all said it appears I was not eating enough. I also read an article in a magazine that said if you are very stressed body goes into panic mode and you don't loose weight. I have been increadibly stressed recently so hopefully this is the turning point.
Anyway all in all I have lost 12lb in in 7 weeks so may hit that stone next week.
Good luck everyone!0 -
Hi, everyone,
I'm coming on here to get a bit thinspiration. I lost 1 and a half stone last year with SW to get to target. I have put some back on, but not all! It took from May-Nov to lose it, this time I want it off quicker. I'm exercising more and eating lots. As soon as I get to within 3lb of my target I'm going back to class and staying every week, can not really afford to pay at the moment. Hope I will get lots of support on here. I am glad I did not go back up to my orignial weight. My class shut down, so that was a real blow to me, I also changed jobs and was very stressed. I always do a green day as I am a vegetarian.Space for rent, apply within - Free trial on Thanks button though0 -
Can I join in? I've got around 9lbs more to lose but am losing motivation.
I'm currently with weight watchers and am free to weigh in till baby is 6 months old (which is on Tuesday, but I'm sure they are not holding me to the exact date)
I started off at 12 stone 3 and am now 10 stone 9, my goal is 10 stone."I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0 -
Hi fox and charlene, good to have you both with us.
fox - I always do green days too and well done on deciding to do something before putting all the weight back on. I am declaring target on Tuesday and will also still go to class evry week for the motivation.
charlene, the last few pounds are always the hardest but keep going, the end is in sightI haven't got one!0 -
Hi there,
I hope it's okay if I join in.
OH and I started following the SW plan on Wednesday (we're not going to classes, but hopefully we'll get lots of support from each other!). We're veggie, so I imagine that we'll be doing the green days pretty much all the time.
I realised it was about time I did something about it, since I've been putting off going to the doctor's for my check-up because I was scared of what the scales might say.I'm guessing I have about 2 stones to lose.
At the moment I have to admit to being slightly sceptical that it will work, since we seem to be filling up so much!
I do have a question- I don't have any bathroom scales, so I took measurements instead - is it realistic to look for a difference in measurements after only a week, or is it too soon to see that sort of change?

Hi bluemoon and good luck with your weight loss. I personally think that the scales don't say an awfull lots and think it better if you don't weigh yourself. The best feeling (I think) is feeling the gaps in your clothes.
The filling up food is great, and you will lose weight as long as you stick to it. If you can exercise too, that will help, building up the amount that you do gradually. With the support of your OH, you will both lose weight in no time. Do it gradually though, don't expect big losses all the time.
Good luckI haven't got one!0 -
Hi Bluemoon,
Welcome to the board, Do you have a chemist nearby that you could weigh at? I did this although I have scales at home the chemist ones seem more accurate and only going once a week helped by not keeping a check on my weight everyday. This last 2 weeks i've been weighing everyday on my scales cos I have a mini target to reach and Im hoping I have reached it by the time I go back to docs on Tuesday \o/
Gl with the plan it is really good when you can get your head around it.
once a month is usually a good time to measure but you could try it weekly who knows you might get a result. I think I would find it too disapointing if I was just measuring.
