But just think how much weight you'll lose while I'm putting it on!I haven't got one!0

Yes Rachie I read that Wendie page and found it very helpful. Especially as I am soooo frustrated!
You see, back in the days Before Brain Surgery, I had lost about a stone. And in the days immediately After BS, I was eating like a bird - eating because I knew I had to, rather than because I felt hungry. AND I was eating well too, because I told everyone NOT to bring me chocolate (although I'm not sure I could have eaten any anyway!) And then about 10 days ABS I had to go on steroids to stop my head exploding (I'm sure it wasn't going to, but it felt as if it was!) and suddenly I felt like eating again! Well, not just that, I felt like eating ALL THE TIME! And that went on for at least a month.
Now I know I had to take those steroids, and it was good to feel human again after a couple of days of head exploding, BUT on went half a stone. Which didn't want to come off. And then it was Christmas, and another 3-5 lbs appeared - it varies from week to week, although it's stuck around 3lb most of the time.
WITH that 3lb, I am obese. WITHOUT it, I am merely overweight, and I'd be quite happy to be overweight for a while!
I'm not really following any plan, can't get my head round them, don't want to obsess about food, would struggle to get to a class consistently. But it doesn't really seem to make any difference whether I have porridge, Fibre Filler or a breakfast bar for breakfast - I go in phases. I usually have soup or Ryvita and low-fat something for lunch. And a small evening meal with extra veg, not loaded with fat or stuff. I eat plenty of fruit through the day. My exercise is walking, and again it doesn't seem to matter how far I walk. I am well and truly stuck!
So, given that I am faced with a pile of jelly-babies  tomorrow morning (helping at the sponsored Fun Run a colleague has organised - no :rotfl: I am NOT running!) and a family meal out on Sunday, I think I need a high calorie weekend, followed by very little on Monday. Then I'll try undulating like that page suggests. See if that way I can fool my body into dropping that weight!
the good news is that I had lunch out today, a massive bowl of salad, lots of different kinds, and I feel completely full up now so not tempted to eat (which is just as well because we're out of fruit until I can get to the shops!)Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Hi, I have tried and searched but can not find the place where the slimming world online code is put, could you kindly help.
I am following slimming world on my own at the moment but am going away next week and therefore will have to join after next week.

consultant31 wrote:Have you measured yourself (bust, waist, hips, thighs etc) because, very often, with the SW plan, I find on weeks where there is little or no weight loss, you can find an inch loss.
If anyone is just starting with SW I always advise them to measure themselves, cos it gives a real boost to see those inches fading away.:T
i havnt done but im going to start doing it because it might give me a boost when i need it thanks:D0 -
dellybelly wrote:Well done on your 1/2 lb off Loopy Lass. Your biggest achievement is that you're motivated enough to stick to it despite being disappointed.
Have you looked at the link Rachie77 posted? It might be worth a try.,

Hi Spender. Its been pointed out to us this week that we cannot pass on the SW online password - as we risk having the board closed down for breach of copyright. Sorry. Maybe last weeks password will still work until you get to join your classconsultant31 wrote:As a newie on this site, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it is against copyright to pass this on to board members.
As I understand it, SW had a board closed down for doing this in the past. It is meant to be one of the perks that members of SW classes get for their weekly fee.0 -
Hello all - i'm back from my hols.
i've only read a few posts so far so haven't really caught up but i hope you're all doing ok.
My holiday consisted of a weekend at friend's in northumberland and then a week self catering at center parcs in cumbria. It was absolutely excellent (very relaxing) but had more than one 'bad' meal. My weigh in is on wednesday so we'll see how i've done then but, like everyone, i keep telling myself that whatever happens it was totally worth it for the good time i've had.
Good luck this week all.0 -
Welcome Back Jenittels. Glad you had a good holiday - I put on 3 lb on my holidays but it was worth every mouthful of it! I lost it before so I can lose it again is my thinking behind it.
Good luck with the weigh in on Wednesday - at least you have a few days to work with before then.
Up and about early today (for a Saturday). I am about to have some grapefruit followed by porridge for brekkie. Going to be v good all day as I have a friend coming round tonight and we will more than likely end up sharing a bottle of wine (or 2!).0 -
Hi
"Checking in".
Finally read as many of the posts as I can! - Good week for me, 3lbs off making 8 in 4 weeks. (Told you you were all an inspiration!)
Wanted to add my two penny worth to those who lost 1/2 lb - I've found slimming world in the past to be frustrating on the weeks where you think you have been exceptionally good. I found that I "got it back" the week after. Also I agree that it makes sense to up and down your sins or points according to your diet. I rarely use 10 sins evenly across the week, I use more on a Sunday - I need them - I have a thing about Sundays!!!!!!!
Have a good weekend.
