Lose Weight 6

Not happy. I've been sooooooooo good all week and lost only ½lb. I went on a set of scales in town this morning before SW and they say that my ideal weight is 8lb light than I am and the SW book also says that if I weigh in 2lb heavier I'm in the overweight range
Who writes these books and makes up the rules anyway?
My body (I think) has decided that it is happier here and (I think) I'm happy where I am. I told my consultant that whatever weight I am next week, that's it TARGET.
Must have a good week (mind you I always lose measly amounts when I'm really good).
Grumble over...:rotfl:I haven't got one!0 -
cheer up CM
its still a loss 1/2lb is good if your near to target well done:D
I know its hard i felt like that last week i was really good and lost a 1lb and my friend had a few naughty days and lost 3 and a 1/2lb and i did feel like giving up but then i thought every little counts and its still a loss so keep it up

Hi all, my weigh in is tomorrow, am discounting Thursday (funeral) but have been very good since then - I hope it pays off and gets rid of last weeks blip!
On advice from my sports teacher sister (far too skinny!!) I have upped the exercise this week, to all who are thinking that the exercise isn't working as well for you anymore, your body gets used to the same level of effort if you just do the same thing, so the longer you carry on at the same pace, the less effective it is (although it is better than the sofa and a bag of revels........... hmm, yum!). So, my advice would be to up either the time you exercise for (say from 30 mins to 45 if walking 30 already), or the effort level, so maybe 30 mins, but walk 2 mins jog 2 mins etc. etc. I think you will notice a difference (especially if you do both!).
In ref. to green or red days, I sometimes do completely green weeks, and when last did SW, before DD (had written DH - ha ha - I wish!!) number 2 came along, lost 2 and a half stone on primarily green days. I think you just have to balance the amounts, at first I piled on everything and still lost weight, but actually got told to try to down the portion sizes a bit as my weight loss had gone a bit static, and it worked, the last few pounds came off quite nicely.
CM - 1/2 off better than 1/2 on, and also, you're nearly there, so you have done a FANTASTIC job so far, nothing to be gutted about with 21lbs less weight on you since Jan!!!! Well done!!Misguided maybe, but never really bad!! :A0 -
Hi CM,
1/2 off is better than 1/2 on. You can meet your target just take it easy don't rush it and then you will find you are there. Don't give up I know it's frustrating but stick with it you will be pleased you did at the end!
Well done.

Nothing horrible about the raisin ones, but when are they going to take out the orange ones????? Don't you love it when you find a little toffee one at the bottom of the bag (ooops, secrets out!!).Misguided maybe, but never really bad!! :A0 -
My favourite ones are the flat solid choccy ones - takes me back to the galaxy button days (sjowing my age now!)I haven't got one!0

cheekymole wrote:Hi Breynia, well done on your 9lbs but I really don't envy you doing the dreaded cabbage soup. How long do you stay on it for and how mych are you hoping to lose? (if that's not being too nosey!)
I really need to lose 6 stone. Seems like a daunting task, but I have known people at SW to lose eight stone in as many months, so here's hoping!
You are only supposed to stay on the cabbage soup diet for a week. I am just using it to detox and to give me a kick start. I must admit, it is the fourth day and I am feeling fine and finding it quite pleasant now that I have adapted it.0
