well i dont think i am having enough fruit and veg but went crazy on the potatoes and pasta..which are free. i do have my extras and this week i have had a couple of days where i have had i'd say 10 syns...bad?0 -

yes i lost 3lb last weeek..but this week none as today i weighed myself..(havnt amended y sig yet)
so what sort of exercise should i do..i mean i do 30 minutes walking everyday..bo kidding..feel like giving that up as its getting me no where..what sort of exercise do u guys do?0 -
Well I went. reluctantly. I maintained this week. I'm glad I went because it re-motivated me. I am NOT going to stay at this weight and i am NOT going to put back on the stone that I have lost.
So, apart from meeting some friends for lunch on Wednesday and a family bbq on Sunday I have no reason to go off track. The BBQ should be ok, salads etc, lunch I will use as syns and make up for.

10 syns is fine if you suddenly drop down then your body might think you have gone into starvation and start to store fat rather than burn it. Also potatoes are free but in proportion you can't just eat loads of them and still expect to loose weight. Try cut down on this, any chance you could try red days and maybe just 1-2 green days this might help give you a kick start.
The thing I have noticed is you don't seem to have that much to loose so the closer you get to your target the longer and harder it is to loose weight.
You need to try balance the fruit and veg as well as the carbs hun, try fill up on water before your meals and eat slowly it takes about 20 mins approx for the food to settle and tell you your full.
If your having 2 hex A's try having just 1 see how you do.

Honey, well done. A maintain is great considering the week you've had. Make yourself a promise now like, if I lose more than 2lbs by this time next week I will treat myself to my favourite chocolate bar or something like that. I find the extra motivation helps a lot.
Sharl, not totally true about the potatoes, I eat great amounts of them daily and do green days all the time and I do lose weight steadily. I take your point about raihana not having much to lose though, it's alwasy harder when you have little to lose. I've only got a few pounds to go and it's taking eonsI haven't got one!0 -
CM you are lucky then cos I don't think many people could eat lots of potatoes and pasta and still manage to loose weight, also it depends what you do to burn them off you may be more active than others, you may balance it out with fruit veg and water.......0

To be honest, I hardly eat any fruit as it bungs me up (if you know what I mean). I HATE water and the only exercise is walking. Surely if green days were that bad then SW wouldn't be as successful as it is?I haven't got one!0 -
Im not saying green days are bad, Im saying that if she is finding that she isn't loosing by doing what she's doing changing it might give her a kick start....
Walking is very good exersise. you can eat either fruit or veg either way low cals and provides water.0 -

Oh I certainly agree with you there, your body does get used to taking on the same things day after day and changing would hopefully alter the metabolism - certainly worth a tryI haven't got one!0
