I came back from Cardiff last night, went to Dr. this morning and she weighed me.......................I was exactly the same weight as when I started the diet 7wks ago! (I had lost 7lbs, then put it back on while still dieting the weekend before last).
So I've spent this weekend eating massive breakfasts, 3 course lunches and dinners, snacks, supper, nibbles and a bar of chocolte. Drank wine, drinking chocolate and beer. So how comes my weight is exactly the same??
The Dr. wasn't very sympathic, she said to make an appointment with the nurse, to 'talk' about diet. I said fat people know all there is to know about what we should be eating.
At least she has given me forms to go along and have various blood tests. It'll take a couple of weeks to get the results, so I need to jump back on to the diet ASAP.
Well done everyone that is keeping up the good work, it insipires us lagging behind, especially cheekymole, being on holiday and dieting must be really hard.

  • JenIttels, I have to say that the reason that I put the weight on was MY fault, SW realy is a good plan to follow, My mistake was to stop going to "class" I thought I could do it on my own, WRONG, lol.

Oh dear Lilac - not a great trip to the doc then. Did she at least suggest what the problem could possibly be?

  • in your opinions is sw or ww better. been with ww before and was gonna join tonight again but was reading sw site and am already a fitness first member so what are the advantages of sw?

In my experience (having done both ww and sw) sw allows you to eat more - providing you keep within the guidelines - so hunger pangs aren't such a problem.

However I personally had more success with ww (once I got my head round the points system) because it felt like I was actually dieting and made me manage my eating and portion sizes.

At present I'm 4 weeks into sw again but have fallen off the wagon this week due to family celebrations and self-sabotage!

Being a member of a qym must be helpful for you (providing you go, lol) as I'm convinced that excercise has a HUGE benefit.

All I have to do now is stop 'talking' a good diet and actually DO it.

The new ww diet no count is similar to sw but without the bore of green days etc, I have lost most of my weight on that plan.

But i flit between the plans, that way i dont get too bored.
Find something that works and stick to it.

Had a bit of a weird day today ans need advice on what to have for dinner.

Breakfast - weetabix with semi skimmed milk - no sugar (planned on it being a healthy extra on both types, brain gone again)

Lunch- had to grab a sandwich due to unexpected meeting (brown breadcake, no butter, turkey and cranberry sauce)

Fell off the wagon after stressful day and ate 2 digestives.

What should I do green or original and what would be quick and easy!!

I'm feeling in need of loads of food - starving and comfort, so help needed please!

I would have it as a green day and fill up on lots of pasta/rice/potatoes. Have you got a packet of pasta or rice to hand one with a sauce?
    I haven't got one!
