Had a bit of a messy weigh last night but reckon i've maintained based on what my trainers weigh versus what i was wearing on the scales last night.

Bit sad about it but will just have to try harder this week!

    well done nicnoo!!

Just been for my second week at WW, I lost 3lb!:j

I was already thinking what I was going to say if I didn't lose lol

My dad. however. who was 20stone, lost a whopping ten pounds!!
But, we know a lot of this is generally water the first one or two weeks so we should get a truer idea of what he is losing next week or the week after, still he got a ding on the bell for half a stone:rotfl:

So am trying to lost a bit of weight for the summer (who isnt)
only i've had a bit of a bad day and feel the need to confess and possibly a suggestion as to damage limitation!
I was really really hungry when i got into work today and managed to eat two cereal bars for breaksfast (not the mega healthy ones the chocolate covered ones) instead of the yogurt and fruit i was planning to eat. And then I was soooo tired and stressed today I just kept munching and managed to eat two more cereal bars and then someone gave me a bag of pick and mix and I've managed to eat half of that as well!
    - so now am totally panicking as have probably just put on half a stone in about three hours! Is there a maximum amount of fat that you can absord in one day? Damage limitation - help!!

Hi! Not got any specifice advice but just wanted to say, don't stress out over this, you've had a couple of treats today, that I am sure you deserved, so just get back on track now. Give the rest of the pick and mix away!! If you crave sweet things, fruit is great. I am totally addicted to pears at the moment - having at least 2 a day , sometimes 3 or even 4, they are just so sweet and lovely! Good luck for the rest of the day!

Right, for example, on the WW site, it says 3 portions of rice cakes is 1 point - well when it says portion, does that mean 3 actual rice cakes?

What great losses this week - Nicnacnoo and Pug in a bed, and pug in a bed's dad - well done!!
Ems and Jeni - as someone else has said it is better to maintain than to gain. I think of it as this - you know what you can eat in a week without gaining ie what your limits are. This is just the way I think of it!

Cheekymole - I'm ok today, thank you. Bit grumpy but hey, I'm female -therefore allowed :rotfl: :rotfl:
I gave in last night and had the offending kitkat. I hadn't had any syns for the day and hadnt nibbled. I think its getting close to "chocolate time" - if you know what I mean! So in a way I was pleased that I was able to stop at one bar!

Today has been good - food wise. !!!!!! in every other way. I'm peckish now so am going to have a bowl of strawberries and a muller lite to bring me to dinner time - SW CHIPS!!! Cant wait.

OH went shopping for me today and thankfully didnt buy any offending items.

I'm going to read the recipe collection for some inspiration - I think one of the problems is that I was getting bored of the same things.

How is everyone else today?? Is consultant31 on holiday - She hasn't been in for a while!

Right, I need help. I've been at SW for a good few months. Initally it went really well and I lost a stone in time for my holidays in April. Since being back I have hardly been to class - previously I missed none. I start each day/week off with "right Honey28, this day/week you are starting over again, be motiviated". I do ok at breakfast, make my packed lunch. Then I come home and all the days work goes pear shaped. I cant stop nibbling!!! I've started from scratch reading the book again and some of the articles from the magazines. That motivates me initially but soon wears off. I think from weighing myself at home that I have put on about 4-5 of the 16 that I lost, (although in my defence 3lb was due to holiday but has never come off). That pi$$es me off and I know that it should spur me on to try harder. I tried really hard all last week, was pretty good for about 90% of the time and I put on (per my scales) 1.5lb! That then demotivates me and off I go to the biscuit tin.

Sorry if I'm doubling up with this post (haven't had time to read all the other posts yet). First I would really recommend you to dump the scales. They won't weigh the same as your class ones anyway and the anguish they cause spoils many a diet!

You're doing the right thing by getting out your book and going back to basics. Have you tried making a 'For' and 'Against' list.
For example in the 'For' side you might have: "I want to lose weight for my health" or "I want to be able to shop in Topshop instead of Evans".
On the 'Against side: "I won't be able to eat chocolate" or "I won't be able to go to the pub/restaurant and have a good time" (the reasons given for not slimming are often not true!!)

Drawing up your For and Against list can be a way of recognising your own sabotage techniques, and tapping into the deeper reasons which have shaped how you behave today and which may make you resist being slim. These may come as a surprise to you, just as mine did to me, and realisation can be an emotional experience, but once you discover these reasons, you can at last do something to protect yourself.

Have you got a slow-cooker? It's one of my best buys and they're not very expensive. I can chuck in a pound of the cheapest (lean) stew meat + onion, carrots, potatoes etc and have a lovely meal all ready for dishing up when I walk through the door - no time to nibble.

Finally, no matter what sort of a week you think you've had, go to class and stay for Image Therapy - you're paying for support and motivation, not just to get weighed (you can do that cheaper in Boots). I truly believe it will set you back on track.

(((((Honey))))) you can do this, we're all behind you :T
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
