    Morning,

No Adios is different to Hoodia.

Day 3 so far so good.

Yesterday I drank 7 pints of water I can't believe it i've cut right down on tea I never drink 7 pints in a week (although i should) but it really helps. I did get hungry last night cos im still trying to work out the best way to take these tablets but I had a necterine, I didn't turn to takeaway or owt. Had a bacon sarny for lunch and a chicken salad sarny for tea. Im eating smaller portions too which is great.

Hi guys, just had to come on and confess - I have really had a blow out yesterday - had a take away curry inc poppadoms and naan bread!, also drank loads on Saturday night! I decided to have a "day off " as we were getting the takeaway cos it was fathers day so didn't want to mess about having to do something seperate for me at my dads house. Really really enjoyed it though, and am back on the straight and narrow now - had lots of fruit and a sandwich so far today , just doing an easy tea of pasta and 9syn free) sauce with a bit of cheese as A option.

I was only thiinking today about taking adios - will have to investigate it and let you know how i get on if i do take it.
Have a good hol LL! x

    Hi Jen,:hello:

Welcome to the thread and well done on your weightloss this week.:D It's nice to have another weightwatcher on here. Almost everyone else is following slimming world.:p

I'm also following weightwatchers, although I'm not doing so good at the minute. My total weighloss since the beginning of May is 7.5lbs. I followed the no count plan for the first few weeks and found it amazingly easy if a bit restrictive. I had a few family gatherings coming up over the months of May and June so decided to count points instead. I must say, I counted my points religiously for the first few weeks but the last two I haven't counted a thing. I put on 1/2lb last week and maintained this week :j .

I think the full choice plan works really well as long as you remember to count your points (all of them, for every bite that goes into your mouth), stick to your points allowance and fill your tracker in. If you're will power goes to pot at the sight of a packet of bicci's or crisps, then I'd say stick to the no count plan for a bit longer. It's pretty simple to follow and your motivation and willpower are at their strongest for the first few weeks.

My ww leader says the best thing to do is to follow the one plan until you get your first stone off and then switch to the other plan to keep your metabolism going. I was going to switch to the no count plan this week to re-motivate myself and get back on track, but DH has decided to go visiting relatives in Dublin this weekend, so I may follow the full choice plan for another week - the particular relative we're going to visit is one of those women who say "oh, I wish I'd known you were coming, I've nothing in... and then produces a gourmet 5 course meal!"

Good luck this week and let me know how you get on.

If you use the sugar-free ones and only add a splash it's ok to use squash.

Oh my god! I drink literally gallons of sugar free squash. I thought it was totally syn free, I don't just use a splash either! What sort of syn value do you reckon i should give for say, a pint of average strength sugar free cordial? I know you will probably say I should cut down the squash and drink plain water but I drink loads of that too! I am just ALWAYS thirsty, I have always been like that! I drink in an average day, 2-3 pints squash and a coffee before I go to work, 3-3.5 litres of water at work, and about 4-5 coffees, then about 4-5 pints of squash at night! Have I been syning without knowing it ?!!! Thanks in advance for your help!
  • This month is playing ahvoc with my 'diet'. I cant even bear to post here but I dont want to leave the loop. I couldn't get weighed last week becuase of the world cup and other things on. Dear all,
have been following the South Beach diet after my friend comfortably lost over a stone in 6 weeks.
The book says you will lose 8 -13lb within 2 weeks of starting. What I also like is that he says you will lose "that stubborn belly fat first."
I am now on day 4 and have lost 4lb so far so am very pleased.
The author is a cardiologist in America and he designed this diet to reduce heart attacks, strokes and diabetes. It is similar to Dr Atkins bit without the fatty meat, ketosis and bad breath.
On the diet you eat chicken, lean meat, low fat cheese, healthy oils, nuts veg, and the right carbs. For 2 weeks no fruit.

I have been trying to lose weight since christmas and although have been eating reasonably healthy I think I have been eating too much fruit. ie 14 tangerines in a day and a 1lb of cherries as I never felt full up.

This book explains why you don't feel full up with carbs and fruit. Fingers crossed it does make sense and I am losing weight.

Just had chicken breast with tomato and onion dreesing as well as "Surprise South beach mashed potatoes". This was blended cauliflower with a small knob of I can't believe its not butter and pepper. Believe it or not it was lovely and came out the same consisitency as mash. My husband who isn't following a diet thought it was really nice as well.
I will be having it again tomorrow.

Meant to say a big plus is that after the first day I have not been hungry so it makes it a lot easier to stick to the diet.

I lost a lot of weight on Atkins and foolishly put it all back on. This book has explained to me why I did that so it is up to me to make sure I stay on the maintenance part of book when I have lost required weight .

Hi dellybelly, hope that this week is agood one for you. I have a friend who is following points and has lost 9.5lbs over 3 weeks, so i suppose for everyone it's different. I followed the points in 1998 and lost 17lb in 10 weeks, so i'm hoping for a similar loss this time. I tried the cookies with the frozen fruit and yogurt as advertised on the front of the WW irresistible mag, and they were scrummy and a great treat for just 2 points. anyway, all the best to all this week.
