well done cats pajamas..:T i miss pizza myself but am remaining strong. by the way whats the name of this sugar free jelly and where can i get it from. thanks

I buy Rowntree's and find them in any supermarket. Another thing which makes a nice pudding, is to crumble a Hi-Fi bar in the bottom of a dish, pour over the jelly and, when set, cover with fromage frais or quark mixed with a little granulated sweetener. It's almost like a trifle for 2 syns and 1 HEB.

Lois, the Hartley's sugar-free jellies are 1½ syns on original or green SW days.

I lost a further 1lbs this week, so I'm now 12st 3lbs, losing a total of 17lbs in 5 weeks. Although it still seems I can't get rid of my belly. :( I should be patient, but it does get me down a little bit. :(

Sadly, spot reduction is not possible through diet alone and does require intensive exercise.
You won't see much difference in body shape for around 6 months with exercise (I was told by a fitness instructor) so you do need to have patience.

oh i'm down heartened today. i thought i was good all week. i went back to work after 5 weeks off (injured!) and barely had time for lunch any day, breakfast was a yoghurt and cereal bar and dinner was - toast 2 nights (heat makes it hard to eat anything proper), grilled chicken breast in tortilla 2 nights. Although I didn't do any formal exercise (didn't have time or energy this week) I did walk a lot more than normal.

I was at a wedding yesterday but didn't have any alcohol, the meal was fruit for starter, then vegetable soup, then stuffed chicken breast (of which I ate half), veg and potatoes.

and so I've put on a pound - am cross as its only my second week!. i shall have to exercise like a crazy thing this week, as I think that will be the key to my success. boo hoo.

Are you following the SW plan? If you are, you're not eating enough!
You need to eat in order to get your metabolism working, otherwise your body will go into 'starvation' mode and hang on to every calorie. When you eat, your metabolism rises for around an hour - during which time you are using more energy (ie calories), even if you're just sitting around.
Another thing you may be having problems with is bread. I find that I hold extra water when I have bread and of course, this shows up as weight on the scales. You don't say, but there seems to be a lack of fruit and veg in your daily diet, and are you drinking LOTS of water? The more water you drink, the less water you will retain, plus all the other good things you get from drinking water (clear skin etc).

Ladela – I’m vegetarian so I can’t eat Muller Lights either; the alternatives I’ve found so far are Danone Activia bio fat free (peach, cherry and strawberry); Shape 0.1% fat (fruit, all varieties); Shape Lasting Satisfaction with EFP (all varieties) and Marks & Spencer Count on Us range (smooth vanilla, summer and tropical).

i probably haven't been drinking enough whilst at work, when I'm at home I guzzle water. As for bread I eat granary bread and only had about 4 slices all week. I try to get my 5 portions of fruit and veg - fresh orange juice in the morning, usually try to get an apple at lunch, and always have some sort of veg in the evening - with my chicken torilla I usually have peppers. I always would get my 3 portions of fruit n veg and try to get 5 in.
I'm not following SW diet, I'm not really following any diet other than staying clear of "badness" and cutting down my portions and trying to exercise - which I did great at last week as I was off work and trying to build myself up again to get back to work this week which I have and I think its taken a lot out of me cos i'm absolutuely knackered today. But hopefully this coming week I'll have more energy and exercise at least 3 days.

Anyhow I'm feeling more motivated now than earlier - this thread helps a lot. However right now I have to go back to bed for an hour cos I can't keep my eyes open - out til 3 at the wedding and up at 7.30 cos I oculdn't sleep - that always happens me when I go out. I'll have a little power nap now and be invigorated for the day and week ahead!! :j

I'm here, indoors cos I can't sit in the sun, it makes me sick :(
Have been making endless drinks for hubby who has been cutting the hedges (and sweating buckets) - he's making me feel so incredibly guilty, that I daren't sit down at the computer :rotfl:
Off to get tea ready now before Casualty (about the only programme I hate to miss). Bye for now

...........wanders off wishing I was at the pub!

    Hi Everyone,

It looks like you're all doing ok with your weightloss despite the heat.:j My DS has been sick for the past couple of days so diets have gone completely out the window for me. :( I know I should plan for these kinds of things happening but with the heat I've not wanted to eat and then come evening I'm STARVING!

I'm dreading my weigh in on monday... I'm sure to have put on weight as I haven't counted a single point all week:o . I must say, life has been a lot simpler not thinking about points etc. but temptation always does get the better of me and when I'm tired looking after DS, a bicci gives me a better and faster energy boost than a banana.

Oh well, I'll get back on the straight and narrow again tomorrow. ... This weight didn't go on overnight, and there's bound to be setbacks along the way.

Good luck with the weightloss this week, enjoy the footie for those of you watching the world cup (can't stand it myself).
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.
