Thanks everyone for your replies about my strange Muller reaction....I'll give your suggestions a go :)

Today the rash wasn't so bad - so I sneaked another toffee yogurt and tonight  I'm blotchy again :(

I did buy some antihistamines, so I could just eat away and medicate afterwards :o lol.

Thanks again, I'm off to do my shopping list online and add your suggestions (anybody elses shopping bill huge since they started SW?)
  • Yay! Lost another 3lb this week.. That's 2st 2lbs in total, and another 1st to go to my target. The end is in sight, and when I get there, I'm going to celebrate by going out for a delicious pizza!

Not sure if it's the drinking lots of water or the stressful time with the OH (or a combination of the two!) but at least I'm happy with my weight loss!

Good luck to everyone for the week ahead...

The pub...........the pub..............I should be so lucky!!!
I'm here, indoors cos I can't sit in the sun, it makes me sick :(
Have been making endless drinks for hubby who has been cutting the hedges (and sweating buckets) - he's making me feel so incredibly guilty, that I daren't sit down at the computer :rotfl:
Off to get tea ready now before Casualty (about the only programme I hate to miss). Bye for now

...........wanders off wishing I was at the pub!
    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hi c31 (and everyone else too!) (Well I know you're not online now but Hi for when you get back!)
Sitting in the sun is really not good for you, so don't worry c31 just slap on some fake tan and sit in the shade! :D

Oh how I wish I was sitting outside a pub right now - drinking shandy mmm!
But instead I'm tip-tapping at this computer doing grown up jobs (just as I was yesterday)!!

Looks as though everyone else is playing out at the moment so I'll call in again later. Bye bye.
  • Hello all,
wow what a lovely day. I hope everyone used their factor 15+ . I did a car boot sale today which involved lots of carrying boxes so I am hopeful it will offset the abandon with which I approached the footie/pub/BBQ yesterday:beer: . Dear BF made me a gorgeous salad this evening:A .

Has anyone found an easy diet to stick to which doesn't cost the earth. I Have "tried" everything including The Zone, Weight Watchers (Online as well as classes) Atkins etc...not to mention "eating less and exercising more" (most unpleasant). I want to get down from 12.3 to about 9.3 without needing cosmetic surgery to deal with excess skin. Any ideas?

Try to get hold of an old copy of the "hip and thigh diet" in a charity shop. That was Rosemary Conleys original low fat plan, and was written before there were loads of manufactured low fat products. Its just basically low fat sensible eating with lots of fruit and veg -pretty cheap stuff really. Any meat/fish is of course the more expensive lean cuts, but chicken breasts, salmon & tuna steaks etc are often on special offer. I'm going to try it again (coupled with the loathsome excercise!) and see if I can shift some of this middle age spread thats threatening to cost me a fortune in new clothes!
Its the only diet that has not left me starving hungry - I just need to muster up some willpower to start!

Spend a lot of time reading and posting here, then you forget to eat and eat less. :D
Worked for me I lost 7lbs recently.
Oh yeah meal plan, so you don't buy any snacks. If it's not in the house then you can't eat it. If the rest of the family need snacks only buy them ones you don't like.
Make your own bread. Doesn't go as far as shop bought and again once it's gone you have to wait for your new one to be ready before you can eat it.

  • If I make my own bread I love it soooooo much, I eat nearly half of it straight off. Nobody else gets a look in, unless they are quick. I say, buy the cheap horrible stuff-you won't like that.
