Oh no, the whole plan is going out the window at the minute. OH and DD bought me a birthday cake yesterday and I've just got to eat it (would be rude not to!)
I haven't been reading all the posts but hello to all the new losers and good luck to you all for the coming week.
Stick with it and I'll be joining you next Sunday!
Take care all

Bit hacked off this morning as I appear to have some 'phantom' weight gain. I've stuck to plan and will carry on, hope it drops off though, I don't want + 1.5 this week. Once the scales did go up at class for no reason and the next week I lost that and more. Any advie Consultant 31? Except for not weighing myself?Space for rent, apply within - Free trial on Thanks button though0

Happy Birthday Cheekymole - sorry we missed it.
Hope you are having a great time in Canada0 -
1st weigh day - I lost 3 lbs this week. So I'm happy enough - although I wanted 8lbs off by next Saturday so I'm gonna have to work especially hard this week!DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY

Morning everyone - well done to all who have lost weight.
This weekend is going to be a real challenge for me, we've got friends staying and went out to a Chinese restaurant last night, we've got a silver wedding anniversary party tonight, and we're probably going to do a barbecue tomorrow, if the weather holds, so if I lose anything it will be a miracle! I'm only going to eat superfree foods today, and I'll eat before we go out tonight so the buffet doesn't prove too tempting. Alcohol is going to be my biggest downfall - usually I offer to drive home and stick to diet cola, but the party is just round the corner, so we're walking. I can't use driving as an excuse not to drink, so maybe I'll tell a white lie and say I'm on tablets! At least bbq can be low fat - I'll be buying the food so I'm in control.
Not much time this weekend as you can guess, but I'll get the weight loss chart updated and post the latest on Monday.
Have a great weekend everyone - don't get sunburnt!

Happy birthday cheekymole! Hope the cake was delicious!
It's a lot easier to consume 20 bannanas in a day in smoothies than it is by eating them raw. You also have to use some energy actually eating the raw ones! If you read up on how SW works it's all meant to be about low energy density and highly filling food. You'll fill fuller from eating a bannana then pureeing it and knocking it back in a drink!0 -
RACHIE77 wrote:Do you know why these type of recipes are counted as 'misuse'?? just wondering? Does that count for things like bananas that you can make into a cake?

Sorry I can't help with the bean curd thingy I'm afraid as I've never heard of it to be honest.
However, the misuse of couscous etc comes about because it SW found that so many people were making cakes every day and eating them in place of a healthy sustaining meal. SW don't just want you to lose weight, their emphasis is on a lifestyle change with healthy eating at the core. If you eat a whole couscous cake, though it contains no fat, neither does it contain any fibre, vitamins etc.
Similarly with smoothies and milkshakes, or stewed fruit - it's not that the fruit itself takes on syns, but the fact is, it's too easy to eat far too much without the benefits of the fibre (from the fruit skin) or the act of chewing (which helps to make you feel fuller).
So, if you had one half pint smoothie for breakfast each day and made one couscous/polenta/chickpea cake each week, you're not going to gain weight if you follow the plan the rest of the time.
This idea is my own, not SWs but it works for me!!I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

The human body is a complicated machine and does strange things that we can't really explain. Usually when you have an unexpected (and undeserved) gain it's because you're retaining water. The best way to get rid of theat, daft as it sounds, is to drink more water. Also, as you've found out, if it doesn't come off one week, it will the next (plus more) so long as you stick with it. Good luck, it will come offI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
