I did Atkins in the 4 weeks leading up to my wedding (and final dress fitting!!!) and lost over a stone BUT put on 1.5 stones back on on my 2 weeks honeymoon....

Lol, that's what contentment does for you :rotfl:

oh was just out buying new suit in next for an interview tomorrow for a job I really want - i just heard about it today but they want to see me as soon as possible!

anyway walked round next for ages trying on just about every suit in the place - got a lovely one. but my gripe is how is there such a major difference in the sizes - even within the same shop?!

anyhow i'm away to think good thoughts for tomorrow!

Oooh, good luck. What time is your interview and I'll send some positive vibes your way at just the right time ;)

On a different subject, can somebody tell me how to quote a small passage from a previous poster, rather than the whole lot (specially one as long as Sparky's :rotfl:

Hey, I can help you with that!:D That was exactly the question I asked when I first started on these addictive MSE forums, and this is the answer I got:

'Simple way to split it up is to copy all the text including the tags and paste for each point, then delete all the irrelevant text for each corresponding point. (Don't forget to leave the tags in each time)'

HTH, and no I'm not offended by any comments on here. Don't do offended !:rotfl:

    Hi Again everyone,

Haven't posted since Monday and just checking up on how everyone is doing. Welcome to everyone who has joined the thread and good luck.

Well done to everyone who has lost/ maintained this week so far.

Wow, you guys don't half go through a lot of topics....

SparkyG, I also suffer from IBS. It's funny the way different foods trigger different people although my symptoms would be the complete opposite to yours... I don't know which is worse!;) I can't look at mayonnaise, eggs, turnip, coleslaw, cabbage, new potatos, onions, beef and lamb. (Turkey is pretty bad too, but I can't bear to not eat turkey at xmas!:p )

I must admit, I've been trying to cut down on my bread over the past week and up the portions of veg and I have noticed that my tummy isn't as bloated as usual. I don't think I'll try cutting out the carbs altogether though... I love my champ too much!

Does anyone know where I can get reasonably priced kitchen scales that weigh small amounts?

I have the super sized old fashioned scales for baking but they're not really accurate for cereal etc.

    Thanks

Argos do them starting at £14.99 for the digital. I would definitely get digital, they are far more accurate for grams.

Hi All and congrats on the weight losses this week.
Had my weigh in on Monday. 1lb off. Was a bit disappointed as i have been really good, but it's all in the right direction.
Plus it took a long time to pile the weight on, so i can't expect it to disappear over night (i wish :rotfl: )
Good luck for the coming week everyone!!!!!!

PS. Am i the only one that has become addicted to the lovely orange Hi Fi bars at SW????? :D
    What's he building in there???
Debt at highest £30,450 (Dec 05)
    Debt at lowest £9, 113 (Jul 07)
How much did we over spend whilst on maternity leave

Well done Lydia - good result, don't be disappointed!

I used to love those apricot HiFi bars with the white chocolate drops - do they still do them?
