Hi everyone!
I had my first weigh-in last night and I've lost 4lbs.......:j :j :j
Normally a Tuesday night is my "night-off";) but I resisted all temptations and drove by the chippy with my eyes closed :rotfl: I will not have a half-pizza supper...was my mantra!
I went home and had bacon and eggs for tea as I was on a red day
Hope everyone has had great losses so far this week!Must learn not to count chickens before they are hatched!!!!:D

If you can't stop the munchies at night then why don't you prepare a snack box - cut up carrots or fruit and munch on that - or even those little ice lollies like pear pickin porky/polly pineapple.
or when everyone goes to bed why don't you do half hour of exercise - that'll stop you wanting to eat.
my OH went for hypnotherapy although not for weight loss - it worked for him. you could try one session and see how you feel after that.
come on katyk - we're in this together don't give up!
Thanks Nadnad
A kick up the bum truly deserved and well meant. Will try to get back on the straight and narrow. How are your doing on yours?
It is now about 1/4 to ten and, once again, all are asleep but me. So I'm off to have a bath after preparing my lowfat lunch for tomorrow (cos I'm useless in the mornings). Then I'm of to bed where I cannot nibble like mad!:T
Mind you, tomorrow's tea looks like fun -DD passed her maths level C today and house rule is that any child passing anything like that gets to choose tea that night. She wants extra cheesy macaroni cheese  and will not be pleased if I don't have the same, especialy as she will be chef! Guess I'll just have to have a small portion with a large side salad.:D She has started to check all the food labels with me if we are shopping to see the fat contents etc:T
Have tried to up the walking speed as I walk to/from work to see if that helps.Might fish out DD's dance mat again - they are great fun and you can put them on fat burning mode where you enter your height/weight etc and they calculate the average calories burned with each 'dance'.
Only problem is making sure no-one else is around to see! Far too many wobbly bits for that!:rotfl:

The Weightwatchers 8974U Glass Precision Electronic Scale are 24.99 at amazon and they give you a £5 gift voucher off your next spend (before a certain date) if you order before June 5th
I have some Salter body fat/water scales and I think they are great0 -
Have just been reading back all the entries since I was last no a few days ago - well done to all who have done so well!
Have decided I will probabaly just stick to the RC diet, if only because I know it quite well. And if I need inspiration I can always think of the lady who helped run it when I last went. At about 5'3" tall she had started as a paying customer of RC and successfully lost over 8 stone! Her before and after pictures were quite something. I bet if anyone had told her a few years ago she would be TEACHING health and fitness, and running aerobics classes, she'd have laughed her head off.
Kick up bum has worked - I WILL stick to it from now on!0 -

That's brilliant! What a good start, you must be so pleased :j
My weight loss is SLOW SLOW SLOW, but I'm hanging on in there. Loads of goodies on the tea table at work today, including yummy jam doughnuts, but I managed to resist, and had black tea (I'm doing the Atkins so can't have milk). I went home and had a lovely strong coffee with cream (allowed) to cheer myself up.
Went to my dancing class tonight and lasted the hour without getting too puffed, so my stamina must be improving :j A sign that it's worth it.....:p
Good luck this week, everyone

Evening all!
Haven't been on for a couple of days, I can always tell by the number of pages I have to read through to catch up!!! This was a long one!
Well done to everyone who maintained or lost this week, and to everyone who put on or who wasn't happy with their performance, at least you have somewhere to talk it through and either understand what went wrong or get some motivation for the week ahead!
CM - Canada is not fair .......... can't believe you went without us all!!
I had my weigh in tonight and have lost 3 1/2 lbs! I am so pleased!! Have had a rough three weeks and weight wise it just sort of stayed around the same, on 1 off 1 type behaviour, but after a couple of days in Madrid with work I did pretty much 100% food optimising and some good exercise, and it has paid off! :j (I am particularly proud of avoiding the biscuits AND cake in my meeting yesterday!).
I still have 4 lbs to lose before my holiday target (in 5+ weeks) and 8lbs to go until I will be at a very happy weight, but I am very motivated!
Consultant31 - bought the new Cranberry & yoghurt Hi-Fi bars ...... how nice?? Ooooh, lovely, might be bad for next weeks weight loss if I eat them all in one go :rotfl:
Have a great week one and all! :beer:Misguided maybe, but never really bad!! :A0 -
[quote=Cats pajamasSparkyG - what can I say - thank you for the words of understanding - often the best thing about venting is having someone agree with you and you said exactly what I needed to hear.
[/quote]
You're welcome  Hope your relationship is back on track. The best thing about venting on a forum is that it's completely impartial as we don't 'know' each other!;) I posed a problem on the family relationships board and got loads of candid advice, some of which I used to good effect :j
Good luck with the weight loss this week ,and if your boyfriend pulls the cream cake stunt, slap it in his face :rotfl: (Only joking.... or am I???:D )
SparkyG:beer: My glass is half full :beer:0 -
I have been to SW tonight, first time for 5 weeks due to work commitments, bit of damage 1.5lb but to be honest it could have been a lot worse:o ....
Hopefully I am now back on track to get to my target weight.0 -
