Frogling wrote:Hello everyone, can I join you please?
I want to lose 2 stone, and I simply can't seem to do it on my own. I can't go to slimming classes because I have two toddlers and a hubby who works away a lot, and I need lots of motivation. So, as MSE support has helped me save money, I'm hoping that same support will spur me into actually taking action instead of making excuses about starting my diet tomorrow so that I can eat a Snickers bar!
Do I need to do anything to join you, or do I just come and chat on here?
You just bring yourself and any problems/queries and we're all here to help. Wecome!I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Steve, water is the best thing to drink, but f you hate it, you could add a drop of low-cal squash. I drink mine hot with a slice of lemon and I enjoy it that way. Tea and coffee are diuretics, so it kind of defeats the object really if you drink lots of those. I know, getting up several times a night for the loo isn't fun, but it tends to ease off after a while.
When you mention the big pots of yoghurt, which ones do you mean? Are they syn-free?
The human body is a complicated thing and any number of things can alter the balance now and then, but if you stick to the plan, up the exercise a bit if possible and drink lots of water, you'll more than likely find you'll start to lose again soon.
Good luck!;)I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Sorry about doubling up on the same advice (proves it's good though
) I got waylaid half way through my answer and didn't check if there were any others before I finished and posted

Hi everyone, I have lost the plot a little recently and think I have gained 2lbs this week, it was expected as my scales have been broken and haven't been very careful over the last week or two, need to start writing things down and sticking to a plan I think! i have just ordered this book off Amazon, does anyone else have it and is there any good stuff in there?
Steve, have you been tested for diabetes? My uncle is diabetic and the sign that made him go for a test was getting up in the night for the loo, its obviously not the only reason you get up in the night for a wee but just thought I would mention it!
Well done to everyone who lost this week, you did better than I did

Hi Rachie - Dont be too hard on yourself. You know what you did wrong and you know what you need to do to fix it. Start over again and put the past few weeks behind you.
I went off the rails too after my holidays but went back to class last night and have started from scratch, measuring food and keeping food diary etc. Why don't you start from scratch too, forget the 2lb - you can lose it this week - and keep the scales broken - I have "hidden" mine as I was on and off them like a yoyo and it wasn't doing me any good.0 -

I don't quite know what I'm going to do yet: I'm hoping to find some eating plans on here that I can fit into my lifestyle. Having two toddlers makes it difficult at times, because I don't often want to eat when they do, but I end up pick at their leftovers regardless. Time is often a problem too - I might have a schedule I'd like to stick to, but my little girls certainly don't give two hoots what I want to do lol!0
