    Hello all,
Why would my boyfriend bring me a huge piece of cream cake when he knows I'm trying to loose weight?
    C

Jealous? Doesn't want you to be slim in case you get admired by other men??? :p Who knows how men think? :rotfl: Did you ask him why?

Don't let that throw you. The only way to success is to lose weight for yourself. Hang on in there :grouphug:

While I was enjoying the cake, I asked him why he bought it for me - did he want me to be overweight ? - and he said he liked to put temptation in my way to see how I would react. He was all laughy and jokey but he added that, as I had eaten the cake, I had failed. I know we all say thoughtless things but he can be such a jerk. Needless to say the dialogue that followed led to him leaving the flat -why aren't 'relationships' straight forward? This isn't healped by the fact that we have completely different views on money that really worry me and we cant talk about it without a row even after 5+ years together. Maybe I need to take this to the relationships thread...sorry for the moan

If you don't mind me saying so, I think that is very cruel. Obviously he has some more appealing qualities or you wouldn't be with him,;) but his behaviour is very controlling and betrays an underlying low self esteem. It's as though he is trying to prove that he has more self control than you by putting you down, which is a sign of insecurity.

Please don't let him put you down, I'm sure you are stronger than that, and you need to show him, while praising him for any support he does give you.

    Good luck :grouphug:

Hi all, got weighed yesterday and lost 1.5lb. I'm now 1/2lb off that first stone. Not quite the 2lb I had hoped for but at least it's a loss.

2lb a week until 8th July (hope to go on holiday then) should see virtualy another stone gone. Fingers crossed!

I'd give the WW a little more time Dellybelly - which plan are you doing? there's no harm in swapping between Full Choice and No Count just to see what works best for you
    .

Thanks for the support Ros.:T I know that you're right. I'm just getting a bit frustrated with myself at the minute. I might try the no count plan this week. Sometimes I think the full choice is actually harder, because there's no forbidden food so long as you count your points and I tend to overindulge.:p My problem is sugar, once I start eating it, I can't stop.

It doesn't matter whether I do Full Choice or No Count, I haven't felt hungry in the past four weeks that I've been following WW but at least with the No Count I can be sure that there are some foods definitely off the menu (like minty mudslides:rotfl: ) My problem is definitely boredom/emotional eating.:wall:
My WW leader says I should do housework instead of watching tv at night time. My OH is on night shift this week (till thursday morning), so it'll be the only time when I can get any cleaning done. Hopefully it'll work!

    Thanks again:grouphug:

Well done, that's great! :j Only 1/2lb to go to a full stone off. You didn't have heavier earrings on this week, by any chance?? :D just trying to think of ways that the wi might have been inaccurate.....;)

What a horrible thought;doing housework instead of watching TV  But your WW leader is right of course. The evening is the 'boredom zone' for a lot of us, when our thoughts turn to munching and hoovering up as much food as possible. Instead you'll be hoovering up the dust :rotfl: (That made me think of 'eat dust, no calories in dust!') Sorry about that....:D

Stick with it, dellybelly. Good luck this week

Ooh, I can't imagine what could be more disheartening than to be told to do housework at night, when most other people are relaxing (mind you I hate housework at any time of the day!)
I would suggest something much nicer, and it would keep you from being bored................ fill the bath with hot water and lovely scented oils, turn off the lights and get a load of little candles in the bathroom and treat yourself to some 'me' time. When you get out of the bath, give yourself a manicure and/or pedicure, or better still, get someone gorgeous to give you a massage!!!! :rotfl:
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Thanks for the suggestions Consultant31. The only problem is, you can still eat when you're relaxing in the bath:rotfl: I've done this before.....:p I suppose it would be difficult to eat with wet nail polish on fingers... but I don't have nails worth talking about. I keep them short so I don't scratch DS.

As for having someone gorgeous give me a massage. I don't think my OH would be very happy about that.... But I can always dream.... George Clooney, Johnny Depp....
