i don't know if any of you have seen this http://www.pocketmod.com/app/index.html but its really handy for keeping a food diary.

    Hi Nadnad

Welcome on board - I joined in the last couple of days too and at the same height and within 4lb of you!! Nice to see like minded people with very similar aims (although I was never 9stone!)

Had a look at the pocketmod but i found it too confusing so I will carry on trying to write things down in a wee note book like the old fashioned fuddy duddy I so obviously am.

    Regards

    Hi Nadnad and Katyk.

There must be something about being 5ft 5 and weighing 15st 8lbs! I was bigger than that at one stage - probably about 18 st but lost it over 3 years. My first wi at ww was 15st 13. I've managed to get down to 15st 8.5 so far, but am hoping for another pound or 2 on monday.

I can honestly say I was probably 14 or 15 when I last weight 9 st. (am now 33 and want to get the weight off before I start trying for another baby). I had a c-section with DS and I know that you're twice as likely to have another one, so I don't want weight/bloodpressure to be an excuse for the doctors to take an easy way out!

I have to say, my weight loss would probably have been more this week if I'd stayed away from that Minty Mudslide on Thursday night.. but you have to live.

Good luck to both of you.

I try and eat healthily, ie. not frying everything and eating all the green veg allowed, and as I said this diet suits me, so I want to stick with it. Any ideas for speeding things up a bit? I'm getting pretty despondant

    SparkyG,

I know it's really difficult, but 6lbs in 5 weeks is a really healthy weightloss. I understand about you wanting to speed things up a bit:D . I don't think there's anyone on this thread who wouldn't like to be at their target weight tomorrow.:D The only problem is, it took us all a long time to put the weight on so it's going to take time to take it off again. Set yourself a short term goal, like 7lbs - or join the 2lb club! It'll get you motivated to work to smaller goals. It's all well and good looking at the big picture in other areas, but I've found from personal experience that where weightloss is concerned, take it one or two pounds at a time or else you'll begin to feel overwhelmed by the task ahead of you.

Good luck and let us know how you're getting on.

    Hi again everyone,

For those of us who walk for exercise....did you know there's the codes and stuff on the freebies board to get a free pedometer from kelloggs?

I don't know how to put the link up but it's easy enough to find.

Will weigh in again next Friday unless the 2lb club have an official 'day' of the week?

Hi katyk - I will be updating the results sheet and posting it every Monday, but Friday weigh ins are fine. Good luck with your target! :)

Thanks for that. It's really reassuring to be reminded that a slow and and steady weight loss is the way to go. Funny isn't it, how we constantly need to be reminded of what our own commonsense tells us!:p Doh, you'd think I'd know better after 35 years of battling with weight  I even used to RUN a Slimming World club in the old days, about 25 years ago:o Then it was more like the Atkins, and I can remember having a big plate of bacon and eggs as a little snack before I went to bed:eek: We also ate some disgusting things called 'Slymbreds' which tasted like cardboard. But of course, like any diet it worked if you stuck to it.

Yes please, I would like to join the 2lb club. Excuse my ignorance, but what do I do? (apart from losing 2lb a week:D )

I currently weigh myself on a Monday, and last Monday was 12st 2lbs. I would like to get back to 10st 7lbs (I'm 5' 6' tall). I'm going on holiday 3 weeks today, and yesterday tried on my holiday shorts  What a sight. If I can shed a bit in 3 weeks at least they won't look SOOOO horrendous.

I'm going for a 3 mile walk this afternoon (yes, really:p ) as I definitely need to step up the exercise. I've been threatening to write a diet book for years, but it's only got one sentence in it: 'Eat less, move around more'. If only it were that simple!!!;)

    Good luck to everyone
