    Hi guys
Been busy working most the week, so not had much time to post.
For anyone reading, i'm sorry but i have no SW books left now. Wish i could help more of you.
Really pleased to see the new posts from some of the guys that PM'd me. Well done and stick with it. Everyone is so helpful here, and very suportive.
As a quick re-cap as we are now on thread 6, i have at least 7 stone to lose, and have only just begun my very long journey!!!!!
For anyone getting to grips with SW, check out this months magazine as it gives you a sample diet, and a quick run down of what red and green days are, etc. Then use the password from here (thanks guys for posting it for us) to check out the extra info on-line.
Well done everyone for your losses so far, whether 0.5lb or more. It's all in the right direction.
CM - wish i was going on hols soon, fed up with work at the mo!!!!!
    Chin up everyone

    Hi Tesscha and welcome,

Firstly, cut out things like bread, chocolate crisps etc and try a little exercise (walking, cycling) etc.

Build up the exercise gradually but don't do anything too rash like joining a gym as this will just turn fat into muscle. Swimming is also good.

Try following the SW diet but without going to class if you don't want to. We post the password on here weekly so you'll be able to access all the stuff online.

Good luck and the support is always here if you need it

Why is turning fat into muscle a bad thing? I thought muscles burned more calories?

    Hi mazza

I wasn't saying it was a bad thing but if you want to lose weight it's better not to turn fat into muscle as muscles weigh heavier than fat

My sister took 2 full cases and 2 empty ones as she was buying a lot of clothes out there and when she came back 4 full cases lol
She bought designer stuff and named nike etc and they were so much cheaper she stuffed her self silly there and put on 5lb in 2 weeks which isnt bad considering what she ate and like she says she enjoyed herself and knew that what ever she has put on will lose in a few weeks anyway so its a fantastic holiday so dont worry too much about the diet just enjoy yourself

I'm hoping that as we are staying in a villa it won't be too bad - I can fill up on breakfast and hopefully bbq some evenings.

Everyone tells me to pack little as I will get it all cheaper out there - Is this really the best plan? I'm nervous about taking very little - normally when I go on hol I can't get case closed and OH can't lift it! :rotfl:

I put on 1/2lb a pound this week i know what happened my grandad died and it was his funeral tuesday and my dads broke his ankle and his in hospital so havnt really been counting my points but havnt been eating properly
But im going to make sure i count things in my journal now as its just so easy to slip back to your old ways and there is always going to difficult situations to deal with
I feel fitter though as ive been wheeling my dad about in hospital and running here, there and everywhere so that 1/2 a pound is coming off next week lol

sorry to hear about your grandad loopylass, you are being really strong as I would have have stuffed myself silly and i mean really ate loads as I know from recent times (hence the weight gain!) my quick pick me up is a chinese takeaway and a bottle of wine and i have only been stressed and tired!

I had a up and down kind of day today, i was rushing around all morning and didnt get to eat so when i went out the door at 12 noon and hadnt eaten i had to grab a sandwich, was quite good with the self control tho as only had half of the egg mayo sarnie and offered the other half to my friend saying i wasnt too hungry, that lasted me til about 4pm when i had a couple of quorn sausages and then OH cooked a lovely veggie spag bol for tea... mmm.... i just had to reach for a couple of quorn sausages as i been excercising this eve and came home ravenous!

Thanks to everyone on here tho, it is truly an inspiration to see how everyone else is trying so hard too :D
