I'm so tight that I wont pay a fiver for someone to weigh me so have never been0 -
Hi abijanzo SW is Slimming World and Syns are extra food which you can eat which are not on your Free Food List (eat as much as you like) so it might be ready prepared sauces, flour, sugar etc.0

I had a really bad nights sleep last night. Today I have a rotten headache and feel sicky. Have taken 2 panadol (not worked), and have tickets booked for the Barbican tonight.
On the plus side..........................seeing as I can't eat, maybe that'll help me lose weight!
Fingers crossed

Hi all
I'm new to MSE and this board and am not up to speed on postings, searching etc so apologies in advance if I make mistakes!
I have a LOT of weight to lose (more than 5 stone) so am finding it hard to get motivated and make a start. It has been great to find others in the same boat here. It is especially nice to get SW passwords etc as I did have some success with SW many years ago and I want to give it another go but don't have the time and money to go to a class.
I also appreciate the recipes and meal ideas... I think half the battle is knowing in advance what we will eat for evening meal because otherwise after a busy day when i get home exhausted with little idea of what to eat it is just toooooo easy to reach for the high calorie junk!
good luck to everyone“A journey is best measured in friends, not in miles.”

don't be disappointed, it's going in the right direction, don't be so hard on yourself, it will make you eat the wrong stuff. Youre good week will show on the scales next weekI haven't got one!0 -
Hi everybody,
I've made a decision after a few years of not concentrating on my weight, that I need to do something as I'm only getting bigger. I bought some digital scales a few days ago and was shocked to see that I'm weighing in at my heaviest. I don't want to be stick thin, but feel comfortable, be able to walk down the road without my belly and other parts jiggling about and to generally be fit. If I was go to by weight watchers or other standard diet suggestions I have over 10 stone to lose - right now I'd be happy to lose 3 stone as the last time I was at this weight must have been about when I was 19 (10 years ago).
I'd appreciate any suggestions or little things that I can do cos I find that when I concentrate on food too much - I become a little obsessed and then end up giving up after a while and putting on more weight.
Thanks for listening!0 -
Hi Tesscha and welcome,
Firstly, cut out things like bread, chocolate crisps etc and try a little exercise (walking, cycling) etc.
Build up the exercise gradually but don't do anything too rash like joining a gym as this will just turn fat into muscle. Swimming is also good.
Try following the SW diet but without going to class if you don't want to. We post the password on here weekly so you'll be able to access all the stuff online.
Good luck and the support is always here if you need itI haven't got one!0
