Oh god- it's bad enough having the rubbish raido adverts on the radio without ebayers making their own. I also like theMake sure your sounds turned on. HERE
As opposed to what?THIS IS A GENUINE SALE
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.

I have to say thanks to this thread I've become more cautious. I saw a gorgeous cardigan the other day, but the (registered business) seller had so many terms that went against the ebay ones (payment within 24 hours, no returns etc) that I just ran a mile instead.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

For someone who is a car dealer, I wonder why he's taken it to a dodgy lay-by for the photos...? :rolleyes:Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
I can Show you the door but you are the one that needs to walk through it......

Great thread, it might be worth OP putting the suggested tips in first post as a list, that way people won't have to go through all pages. I'm sure there are some really good tips hidden between all the posts.
How about international sellers that create a deceptive listing and exploit eBay listing features, trying to hide the fact that the item will be posted outside the UK. Trying to create the impression it is located within the UK.
I bought some jeans on behalf of my brother before xmas, I didn't check everything as I should have, so I was thinking the jeans were within the UK but turned out that the jeans were actually coming from Thailand. In the "item location" it said "Express shipping, APO/FPO" which is a bit of a let down by eBay that they allow sellers to pretty much falsify this data.
This should have raised an alarm with me to check it further I know. Another thing was the new eBay design does not show the sellers country of registration like it used to. Before it would have said Seller xxxx in Thailand, but they have removed this on the new design. The seller did not mention anything about the item coming from overseas, it just said, the item will arrive between 4-14 days, so another thing that lead me to believe that a possible shipping time of 4 days doesn't look like overseas.
All in all my own fault for not spotting it, I've been on eBay for years and couldn't believe I missed it, although I do think if the listing wasn't deceptive, coupled with eBay removing the sellers country I could have seen it.
The jeans arrived on xmas eve, the 14th day after payment, which I was not expecting having noticed the jeans were in Thailand a few days after payment. Would you leave a neg feedback for this?0 -
did it actually say on the listing that they were in the UK? i get the impression .. no offence meant.. that you just assumed so. i don't think you have grounds to leave neg feedback though i would point it out in the comments.
It is DAMN annoying that ebay don't make it clear though.0 -
Tbh I don't think 14 days is very long for shipping from thailand. I wouldn't leave a neg.Undergrad law student. Take my advice with a pinch of salt! :rotfl:0
