    to refill them i'd imagine - i stupidly bought a canon printer that's got a chip or something in it so you can't get third party cartridges :mad:

    I Normally find non original cartridges a lot poorer quality. I'm looking at a colour laser now though

    Sometimes this is a ploy by the printer maker ;)
    We've got a lexmark, and it prints a lot better when it is told that it has lexmark paper even when it's tesco value :rolleyes:
    Back on MSE after a 5 year hiatus.

    Not a ploy on my cannon tried cheaper ones and the quality is very poor compared to the canon ones.

    My printer's great for ink consumption. It doesn't use any, because it refuses to be friends with my laptop!

    I had one of those once..it just kept telling me that no printer was detected. I swear I got so cross that I actually picked up the printer and threatened the PC screen with it.
