As a buyer what puts you off a listing?

What would put me off - lack of description, something like "xbox game, halo 3" er, well i would want to know a bit more than that. Poor feedback, very fine small print at the bottom nearly hidden "this auction is for the console only, no leads, box or guarantee is supplied" also non recorded items can put me off.

I nearly have a new account i miss all the drama of scammers trying it on, i hope they accept me now i would like to start bidding and buying again.

A great thread - very amusing reading.

I hate the ones that state as their 'unique selling point' (usually in 36pt fluorescent pink bold caps - centred ):-
'.....my ***** comes from a smoke and pet-free home...'
Apart from the fact a home is not a home without pets, IMO - it sounds pious, PC & a total bore. Can they not think of anything more useful to say about their products to try & sell them?

Like many others here I'm also appalled by the hate-consumed, bitter and twisted, Sales Prevention Brigade, who list endless T & C's full of threats. I simply can't understand a) how they manage to sell anything, and b) why they even bother with something that will bring them into contact with a buying public they clearly despise and hold in utter contempt.
I can appreciate that a few bad experiences as a Seller can colour your judgement, but you surely have to either 'chalk it up to experience' and move on or 'get out'!

I agree with others .... the not being held responsible for items lost or damaged in the post is a joke - particularly when, at best, they've slung half a dozen delicate glass items, unwrapped, in a 5 times used jiffy bag (& charged £4.99 for the priveledge). I'd rather have a few pet hairs & the smell of stale smoke, than a bag full of broken glass anyday !

Another thing that bothers me is i search for a item, and i get a page full of accessories and not a single item in sight, pages and pages of useless crap all listed in the item page - i quit trying to find things sometimes.

This is a PS so surely they must know that you cannot give Neg to a buyer. The policy has been inplace for a long time, time enough to change there templates. As far as I see it just makes them look stupid and reduces confidence in them

I notice in their vast auction blurb that they refer to the item as having a distressed look...to me that looks like a poorly made fake or a second.

I know it just looks rubbish
