No, list it at the same price! Otherwise, they might undercut you, and you'd undercut them etc and eventually it will end up at 1p.nic82 wrote:Does everyone just list a few pence below the cheapest book currently on offer? e.g. I'm looking at listing my first book, and the cheapest "used" one is £4.99. Should I list mine at £4.95?

i've never seen that happen juno? Most of the sellers on amazon are big 'pro' sellers who sell soooo many books I don't think they have time or inclination or need to check if theirs is the lowest. I have 25 books on sale, all the ones that were 'lowest price' when I listed them, are still lowest price. (2-3 wks later)0

Well, I had one where I undercut them, and then they undercut me! It is entirely up to you, but if you match the lowest price you'll both be classed as the lowest price. Therefore, if you just check down the list you wouldn't know someone had matched your price.morg_monster wrote:i've never seen that happen juno? So let me get this right: with Amazon, eBay finally have some decent competition? The thing I hate about eBay is how laborious and slow it is to list stuff sometimes. Is Amazon really that much better?0

I listed 90 books yesterday and have sold three - just about to go and post them now."This site is addictive!"

I started with amazon yesterday and I've sold 3 CDs already! :T
I'll see what happens with the rest of the stuff.
Obviously the main difference to ebay is that on amazon you're mainly restricted to CDs, DVDs, games and books instead of clothes and all other stuff but that's enough for me to start with!0 -
Excellent news Elona and Vyvyan.
I've only got 6 books listed on there at the moment and haven't sold any yet (but one was only put on last night and the other 5 were put on the night before...I'm just impatient!!).
Elona - have you put on fiction books or non-fiction books?
Thanks!0 -
