Hi all
Just caught up as I've been laid low with the flu. Feeling much better now and finally I've uploaded my piccies

bookaddict - the Holiday Train is beautiful and the framing is perfect. Your fishes are really coming on too. I'm getting there slowly but surely - but, like you, I am finding it a little more enjoyable. One problem though was that my dog thought that the threads were good to play with so I ended up having to re-sort the whole lot again onto different cards.
nmm - I love big cat pictures and it's great to see your picture forming.Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts - DFW Nerd 323

Anyone else finding it hard to get motivated in to finishing their xmas cross stiches? Ive just finished making cards but i started 2 small cross stitches in late oct/ early nov and one does have the main crosses finished, and the half cross stitch (i finished them yonks ago) but it has loads of blooming back stiching (and i dont even wanna think about the 15 french knots), its a Elliot elephant and has stiching similar to that of a tatty teddy.
Also anyone know how to sharpen my scissors, their ment to have a 2 year gaurantee, and they probably have just hit that last month , i used them with my paper craft aswell as x stitching and since coming back to cutting thread after making the cards im begiging to think my teeth are sharper than these hopless blunt things.0 -
Hi Lelc,
Thanks for your kind comments.
I'm glad that you're finding the mojo with the fishes - it's nice when the design starts to come together. I can't wait for the long Christmas break.
Oh no regarding the dog attacking your threads. I'm glad that you've managed to sort them.
Keep up the good work.

Just went onto Across Town Stitching to buy some threads and thought you might be interested in this:
Due the increase in supplier costs we are increasing the price of Standard
DMC and Anchor stranded 8m skeins to 37p from January 1st 2010
They are currently 30p, so that's a big hike in price. Still LOADS cheaper than Hobbycraft, mind!

I still haven't finished stitching the LK 'Autumn' and haven't picked out a card to stitch for mum yet. Where is the month going??? Have been sooooo busy. Had friends up to stay last weekend & we all saw Eddie Izzard on Monday night, going to the German Christmas markets on Sunday and then off to stay with my family over christmas. Hope everyone else is getting on with their UFO's. The photos all look great!Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Hello everyone,
Hope all are well.
I am home from my holidays - left my stitching behind - but I can do it while I am there as I go there every year (parents in law).
I will be restarting my floral alphabet - not done it for ages it feels. Looking forward to it.
Everyones work is coming on good style. Keep the spirits (or vodka) up for Christmas.
Kind wishes

Have decided there's no way I'm going to get flower vase done in itme for Christmas so mother in law will have to have it for mother's day instead - or if things go really bad, for her birthday in June! Have really only got a few flowers to finish off but am leaving one job this Friday to start another one after Christmas and am running out of time
Dh also has swine flu and can't do anything round the house either so muggins is a bit lumbered with everything

Have done loads but forgot to picture most of them - my fav (lake district map) should be text to me later so hopefully uploaded in the next couple of days.
