Thanks. The orange fabric is sooo halloweeny (is that a word?) and I was worried I wouldn't be able to find that shade, but good old ebay didn't let me down. I would have finished it if I had remembered to take the chart with me on holiday. Silly me!
The mount came with the frame. I struggled to find a frame that would fit the stitching, but it'll take a while to finish (or start!) the 'cakes' and 'boots' anyway, so I'll start looking for frames for those now and by the time I'm done, hopefully I'll have found some good, cheap frames for them. I think out of the 3 designs I have, the bras work best in the bedroom anyway. I'm running out of wall space!Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

I done the tesco account deal recently and got myself 1000 points. I was going to use them to get a subscription to a xstitch mag but have now decided not to
I am a little disappointed (even though the decision was mine) but I have so many kits to be getting on with and I just know that I will see loads of projects in those mags that I will want to do so I'm not going to even give myself the temptation :rotfl:
I have recently framed my first ever finished project :T :j :rotfl: The Country Companions kit I started about 10 years ago  It's Rubys' xmas present and it looks really nice, I'm quite surprised. The frame cost less than £3 but I'm pleased with the result.
I would post a picture but Rubys Mum sometimes uses this site and I don't want her to see it until xmas. I'll post a pic in the new year:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

Thank you!I know what you mean about the mags being the only exciting post. Whenever mine arrive, I get soooo excited and curl up on the sofa to have a flick through. I even had an answerphone message from mum the other day..."It's here! It's here! Has yours come yet?" (Cross Stitcher mag) :rotfl:

Hi All
No update this week on the floral alphabet as I have been working on my grand nephews baby sampler thingy. See other forum for pictures.:T
I have also sorted my material and threads for my holiday stitch. Gave the material a wash as it was quite stiff. Less than two weeks to go to my holiday - can't wait - just to be able to relax all day if I want lol:j
Made some banana baby cakes - cooking in oven now. Hubby will be awake in a couple of hours (he works night shift). Looking forward to a cup of tea and couple of more hours stitching. :cheesy:
Looking forward to my couple hours of reading my latest magazine (been a subscriber from issue one for both cross stitcher and cross stitch magazine) and dream of a wee room surrounded by cross stitch stuff :smileyhea
Hope all is well and enjoying their stitching
Kind wishes

I have decided to finish just ONE of my UFOs before Easter. I haven't worked on it for about 10 years, but I think I still have everything. The design is this:
and have done two thirds of the bottom half, if that makes sense. The only problem is that the threads are in a bit of a muddle after 10 years in a bag, and when I added a little yesterday the door bell rang in the middle and I don't know exactly what I added (I usually cross the squares off, since EVERY square in the design is filled).
Easter may be ambitious, actually!Mortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600Overpayments to date: £3000June grocery challenge: 400/6000 -

Indeed ...
But when I took it out (it is, of course, on linen so each stitch requires a wee bit of thinking), I thought: I do still love this and it will look fantastic if it is finished.
Perhaps I should say "I will finish this before I am 50." That gives me about 18 months!!! It's really only very recently that the children have been old and independent enough for me to even think about doing sewing again. And then I realised, "my job isn't really that enjoyable, but I can't change it, so I need to start getting a life as well".Mortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600Overpayments to date: £3000June grocery challenge: 400/6000
