    Hi everyone

Well done Laurel7172, you were very brave, glad it paid off!

Bookaddict, the framed picture looks amazing, and I agree £31 isn't too bad. I priced up a frame online that was made to size for my polar bears and it came out at £35. For that I'd have to frame it myself. If I could get it framed as nicely as yours for £31 I'd be happy. Make sure you do post a piccy of the holiday train, I'm looking forward to seeing it. :T

Sweetcarer, your floral alphabet is looking great, you really are winning now, the end is getting nearer!
:xmastree:What a splendid idea, this Christmas sounds fun. I fully endorse it, let's try it at once!:xmastree:

I know - it is very sad. I had the pleasure of meeting Teresa a few years ago and she is a lovely person.

I'm really hoping she will go back to designing in the future. TW's Camelot was the first big cross stitch I did ( I didn't know then she was meant to be hard!).

Polar bear update, sorry about the size of the picture I did try to make it smaller :rotfl:

Sorry to hear about twdesignworks, that's a real shame.

I'm still waiting for the skein of DMC 3740 that my mum posted to me over 2 weeks ago. I need this colour for the socks, but may have to bite the bullet and go to Hobbycraft next week if it doesn't turn up.

    Happy stitching everyone!

    Afternoon all, how's things going?

Simac - those polar bears are just beautiful. I notice you have the same clip frame now, do you find it makes things so much easier than a hoop?

Sweetcarer - Getting there, it looks great. The end is in sight lol!

Coxy - Good going, hopefully that thread will turn up soon!!

My two subscription mags arrived together yesterday, so I had a lovely time poring over them with a cuppa last night (Hubby got to watch some rubbish film without me complaining haha) trouble is...there are now more things I want to add to my To Do list!!!

There is a gorgeous Lickle Ted design, writing a letter to santa. A ballerina which my neice would love, a really cute Forever friends inside a parcel design, a rudolph picture which I can frame for my aunt...etc

Plus, I wanted to make some family members a personalised tree decoration on plastic canvas. Decisions decisions.

    Flip...is is really November already....:rotfl:

    Hi all,

I went to the sorting office today to collect an item they tried to deliver 2 weeks ago, but couldn't as it had 8p too little postage on it. I hadn't been able to get there until now due to working and them being shut/on strike.

Well blow me if it wasn't the thread my Mum had sent me for Santa's socks - 1" wide, 8" long and about 1/2" fat, weighing 12g, wasn't covered by a 1st class stamp . I looked at the chap beseechingly as they wanted to charge the 8p plus a £1 'handling charge' and luckily for me he let me off!

    Guess what I'm doing tonight??

I have been rubbish at updating this recently. Partly because I've been away for a while, and also because I haven't done much stitching anyway.
I didn't finish my Meg & Mog Halloween picture in time for this halloween. Here's a pic of how it looks at the moment:

    2543915410043882734S425x425Q85.jpg

I might put it away for a while as I've got Grandma's 'Autumn' to stitch, plus a christmas card for my mum. And Christmas is NEXT MONTH!!!!

A couple of nights ago I finally got around to framing my Dictionary of Bras. What a nightmare that was! It took over 2 HOURS. It was an IKEA frame and I was planning to buy another 2 to frame the other Dictionary Of... kits, but there's no way I'd buy another now. It's called RIBBA if anyone is wondering what to avoid! The back of the frame was really hard to get back in and I cut myself twice on the glass (never done this before). The hanging attachment doesn't seem very secure, considering it's a heavy frame-and it cost £14.

When I hung it in the living room against the cream wallpaper, it looked lost. The mount colour was too similar to the wall colour, so I've moved it into the bedroom and it's hanging above the bed now. I can't fully appreciate it yet, as I'm still feeling really annoyed that it took so long to frame and my finger still hurts!

Everyone's UFO's are looking good. The polar bears are really taking shape nicely. :T

I had a call from my mum a few days ago sounding bewildered because she's gotten a copy of Cross Stitch Card Shop in the post & she only subscribes to Cross Stitcher (through the Tesco clubcards deals!). So much for my christmas suprise! It was supposed to start with the next issue. Darn! She was very pleased & had no idea it was my doing. It's only a trial subscription for 3 issues though. Not bad for £1, I thought.

I promise I'll try and get some stitching done this weekend, so I have an update to post next week. You have my permission to give me a virtual kick up the bottom if I don't! ;)

Wow, that meg and mog design is so striking! I have never seen a design stitched on that colour of fabric before, but it makes the black look fantastic. Hopefully you can get it one for next year instead.

Sorry to hear of your troubles with the framing. Was the mount with the frame or did you have to buy it seperately?
