The H+E forest light Im working on at the moment has 90 colours and should be about the same size as the one you have posted -but I am doing it on 24ct over 2 threads -so its the same amount of work but a fair bit bigger :D

:hello: Hi Mrs M, glad to see you back. Sorry they postponed your op, I'd have been cross too!!!!

Hi PAP, I like the Newton's Law pictures too, they are very cute. Welcome to the board, I look forward to seeing your updates.

Misty Blue, what are you trying to do to me???? I'm indecisive enough, but I'd finally decided I was doing the Heaven and Earth QS Rose next (and the Wizard of Oz if I can pluck up enough courage!), but then I followed your link to Mystic Stitch and OMG!!!! I love the cat in the moon picture http://www.mysticstitch.com/detail.aspx?ID=6374. Oooooh you are a bad influence :rotfl: I'm going to have so many UFOs if I can't make my mind up soon, I'll have to buy them all.

I like the Lighthouse too *Louise* , oh decisions decisions!!!
:xmastree:What a splendid idea, this Christmas sounds fun. I fully endorse it, let's try it at once!:xmastree:

Oh the cat is lovely, very striking!! I would like to be able to do it, but I need a variety of colours to keep my interest.

I think I am going to buy the lighthouse chart. So I will have 'Vision at the Lake', 'Touched by magic' then 'Lighthouse of dreams' to do.

That should keep me busy for about...oh...the next 5 years....:rotfl:

Funny, until I joined this hread, I would never have tackled big projects like this - I ould look at ones in magazines and think 'omg how can you be so dedicated'

It's amazing what a little group encouragement can do :j:T:T:T

That is the exact reason why I like the cat. I'm lazy and don't want to keep changing colour :rotfl:. I quite like the idea of less colours in a picture.

Has anyone ordered from Mystic stitch before? With it being in US Dollars can you just download the charts?

I always get sucked in by a gorgeous design and stitch it just because I like it then have no plans for it on completion. have a big box upstairs of 'FO's which has around 30-40 (I must count them) finished pictures all pressed and lying flat just waiting for me to do something with them.

    Oh flip......

I got the box out, took a photo of each piece of work and measured it so I have a list of everything (easy reference if I'm looking for a suitable present for someone)

I actually have 72 completed pictures all sewed up and nowhere to go.....oldest one dates back to 1999 :o:o:o:rotfl:

OMG louise, 72!!!! you could wallpaper a room with them :rotfl:

Simac, if you check my post further up, i posted a uk site to buy Mystic Stitch designs from, but i would think the US site would be cheaper.

I managed to get quite a bit done last night, i'm doing more of the sky as its quicker, that lioness makes it feel like i do 10 stitches an hour, lol.

Thanks NMM, I looked and they seem to have every Mystic Stitch but the one I want :rotfl:

Not to worry, DH says if I finally make my mind up which one I want, he will order it from America as my Christmas pressie (Yeah!).

Louise, do you think the cat is on black Aida or is that black cross stitch on white material??? To me it looks like black material and you leave it blank to create the shadow. Just wondering because I've never used black and I quite fancy a go! If it is on white, then yes I may get bored sewing the background LOL.

Aw what a lovely OH :T

It's hard to make out if it's stitches or pixels in that picture, but I think it's on black fabric, it would make more sense (and save a lot of time!!)
