Everyone's work is looking fab as always. I will have to do some serious stitching today if I'm not to disgrace myself, as I've only managed an hour or two this week!postingalwaysposting wrote: »Hi all
I wonder if I can join you?
The more the merrier! :T It doesn't matter that you haven't fallen into the UFO trap the rest of us have - our UFOs are now becoming our WIPs (Works in Progress), so let's see some pics!I have very few pieces of my own work as well - most go as gifts. The current Japanese Maiden is for my housemate, so I will at least get to see it every day!
I have seen stacks of Heaven & Earth and Mystic Stitch designs I want to do, but have so far held off buying any for about the last 2 years. I love newtons law, he is just so fab. I am glad to see the lions will be just for you, they are coming alone nicely. I have never been able to stitch 'real' animals, its just something about them
cant wait to see the finished piece...

Hi Misty, its certainly great to se all your ufo's being completed, they look much better completedI have none of my own work except the one I am about to show you. Everything has been gifted out. Its sad really but then again I know many are still hung on walls years later, and you cant say that of many gifts.
I pm'ed Louise about the heavn and earth site, its truely amazing the amount of charts they have. Some are lovely and once I have done one I will no doubt be back for more. Once you get your ufo's complete you can buy away :T
So this is my latest finished piece, its a newtons 'sunny days' I didnt do the words though because I think I may want to frame it for me as it is
And this is where I am on my new piece. I guess thats about 1.5hours stitching, I tend to stitch at night so I do it in bits while watching tv and on the internet. I am off on holiday tomorow so I am hoping I can get a lot completed while away.
Thanks again for welcoming me :kisses3:0 -

I wonder if I can join you? I am a serial lurker on this thread and love all the gorgeous work you are creating.
I have been cross stitching for about 11 years now and its one hobby that I have never looked back on. I have generally be stitching for gifts and I am ashamed to say I hold none of my own work apart from my last finished piece. I have decided this year though to start stitching for pleasure and myself. I never have any ufo's because I tend to stick with one piece untill its finished, hope I can stll join though
However saying that I am working on one piece for my Mum for christmas. She has never had any of my work so I thought it was about time. One of my favourite things to stitch are Newton's law bear so I am stitching 'its a wonderful world' for her. I have only just started but I am hoping to get I finshed in a week or so ready to frame :T
Once I have finished that project I am going to do a Heath and Earth design, thanks for introducing me to them Louise. This will be huge though and on a count that I dont usually attempt but I think it will be worthwhile.
Happy stitching all :j
Hi pap :T
Glad you have decided to join us.
You may be the only person on this thread who finishes one project before going on to the next - you put us to shame :rotfl:
I love that Newton's Law design, it's so cute, I bet your mum will love it. I do a lot of pictures for gifts, everyone in my family has something from me on their walls (except my SIL, she is a minimalist lol) but I always get sucked in by a gorgeous design and stitch it just because I like it then have no plans for it on completion. have a big box upstairs of 'FO's which has around 30-40 (I must count them) finished pictures all pressed and lying flat just waiting for me to do something with them.
Can't wait till you start your H&E design - please stay around and give us progress pics, I love seeing everyone's work taking shape

Afternoon all
Thought I had better post my updates- My op was postponed the day before it was due -the forces medical team wanted to courier my scans to a specialist a Guys n st Thomas as what I have is rare and they wanted to check the diagnosis and that they agreed with the OP ...ooooohhh I wasn't happy -mind, the op is now back on for 1 week tomorrow -so I will be sat in my bed again -although Im not sure I will be up to much once the op is done ..anyway ...updates so far.....
Mums xmas pressie -now framed :j
Where I had got to last time I posted ..about 2 weeks ago I think
and where I am now
I was sat in my hospital bed sewing and everyone who came in was fascinated :pAND checking my progress every day :rotfl:.... Im not sure they realised how long these things can take
I may take my celtic lady with me this time as it only needs the gold thread adding (won't add the beads until I have washed it) -so I think it may be a little less concentration than my H+E one...
Its great to see everyones progress -and more people joining in...
keep up the great work everyone...
right, back to my sewing I go :j-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Nice to see you back on the thread MRSM - brilliant progress on the H&E design!!
What a pain having the op cancelled at the last minute! All psyched up for nothing. Still, at least you had plenty stitching time eh - hope you managed to convert a few nurses and patients to the wonder of XstitchCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Exactly.I've now started keeping a stitching diary, with photos of the completed work before it's given away. It's a nice thing to look back on.
And Newton is lovely.
