Hi all, can I join in please?

I'm currently working on A Dictionary of Tea which I'm going to give to my Mum for Christmas, but at the rate I'm going it will probably end up as her birthday present .

MRSMCAWBER for future reference, as it's a bit late now, I have found http://www.across-town-stitching.talktalk.net/index.html the cheapest place for threads. DMC is 30p a skein and they do offers where 50 skeins are £14 up to 200 for £52. I hope that helps someone in the future.

I think once you get into it a bit more, you'll whizz through it! I started the Bras in March and finished it a couple of weeks ago. Most of that was stitched in the last 2 weeks. It just suddenly got that I couldn't put it down. Keep us updated. I'm looking forward to seeing your progress on this kit! :D

Aww thanks MrsM, I just wish I was brave enough to tackle it! Maybe one day I'll be confident enough to give it a try. I showed my hubby the picture and he agrees it's beautiful too. Apparently garnet is our sons birthstone so of all the fairies it is the most appropriate. Good luck and keep us posted won't you.
:xmastree:What a splendid idea, this Christmas sounds fun. I fully endorse it, let's try it at once!:xmastree:

Well, I need to top up my threads (got through loads already and only on page 2 of my chart lol) so I am going to try them out just now, so thanks for the link Fiona :D

*edited to add: Just bought 15 threads for £6.00 (inc p&p), will see how fast they deliver :)

^^That was the 24th and the threads arrived this morning. :)

    Can't complain.

My Wimblebees order arrived this morning as well - happy days lol :j

    Hi *Louise*

Can I just check - they are genuine DMC threads and in skeins? -only I saw 1 company that did them cheap but they wound them onto card bobbins -and I like them in skeins?
I will-off and make a list of all those threads I need for my next 4 projects  -then get them ordered -if you say they are genuine :D

I think at the moment the problem is that as soon as DD goes to bed I wanna go too :o so I haven't had the chance to do any stitching. Once this early pregnancy tiredness passes I'll be well away!!

    OHHHHHHH YEHAAAAAAA
    Thats great thanks *Louise*
I emailed them this morning to see if they are willing to post straight to my BFPO address as it only costs them the same as posting in the uk (and saves my mum having to post things on for me) -but lots of companies don't have their payment system set to accept BFPO numbers:rolleyes: -but I asked If I order as normal (using mums address in the details) then email her the list of colours I want and my BFPO address -would she post straight out -and she will :T
Im in the midst of working out what colours I need :eek:figure I may as well order for all the charts I have lined up -2 heaven + earth, the golden earth one and the couple missing from my celtic noel -then Hopefully I will be all set for the next couple of years or so :rotfl:
