The cross-stitching UFO club

Hi everyone,
Just found this thread and I'm so pleased to see so many other people into cross stitching!!!
My UFO is called 'mother's love' and its a gorgeous picture of a mother polar bear and two cubs. The only trouble is there are so many shades of white, cream and grey that it's taken me ages to do just the mother bear!!!! The kit was a present from my husband because I adore polar bears but I had lost my motivation. Reading this forum has inspired me, I think I will try my hardest to finish it.
Post us a pic of your progress - I'd love to see itCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. I'm not sure if I should sign it with my initials & year somewhere, though. It's 11" high and 10.5" wide, so if I want to frame it in an 11" square frame, I think I'll have to stitch inside one of the squares. But where? Or should I not bother? Help!Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Im geting mums xmas pressy done :j-how are you going with your mums tiger?
Mums tiger is coming along nicely - Im at the horrible stage of large blocks fo the same colour which drives me mad - I'd rather lots fo single stitches in various colours so i don't get too bored but im on the feet so its mainly the same colour at the minute but not too much more to go, just the feet, plants in the background and the last bit of the body, then i have all the backstitchign to do. Woohoo! Will be sure to add a picture soon though for you all to see. Was debating going and doing some now actually but friend is nattering to me n face book in another window lolTime to find me again0 -

Here is simac's polar bear:
I see what you mean about all the whites/creams:eek:
However - at least the little ones will be smaller and (supposedly) quicker to doCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Misty thanks for posting your work in progress. I notice you have done the outlining as you have gone along, I think I'll have to do that where I can on future projects because I usually leave it till last but then when it comes to I don't want to do it.
I am a bit weird about backstitch - I like doing it if it's done a bit at a time, and I love to see how the design will ultimately look with all the detailing done. However, if I leave all the outlining until last it feels like a really mammoth task.Misty blue that kit is amazing! I'm tempted, but I will be strong! :rotfl:

It looks great
If I were going to put initials on it, I would probably do it in tiny letters at the very bottom of the 'algebra' box, or below the heart in the top left corner.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219.
