Mrs M - are you leading people astray with more cross stitching on here.

ALready have 7 christmas cards to make thanks to you and your reindeer chart. How are your decorations coming along anyway?

and Johnsons cross stitch craft site in now the first box in my google chrome list.

Did you know that Johnsons are on Quidco, so you can get cash back from them when you shop?

Oh dear, I can't decide if I love or hate this thread! On one hand, it's very inspiring seeing the progress others are making with their UFOs. :j On the other, I keep seeing lots more kits that I want to get!

So I am going to join in, if that's ok. This is my current piece of work: Dimensions Japanese Maiden.

Lol, not usually that late - I held my sister's 21st party at my house last night, I was just having 10 minutes online to relax before bed :)

That owl is spectacular, how long has he been working on it now?

I've finished all the cross stitch, and rinsed it out in cold water to get the pen marks out. It's now drying off on a clean towel before I put the finishing touches on!!! :D I need to add all the french knots or beads, plus I've left some backstitching around those areas so I can anchor the knots/beads nicely. I'm thinking I'm swinging towards putting beads in, but not on the algeBRA bra. It has 2 '%' on the bra and I think those would be better with french knots. The other bits are the 2 'i's in Dictionary, 'i' in BRAssica, the snail's eye and antenna (might have to do those in french knots, actually), the 'i' in LibBRA, the 'i' in BRAzier and the 'i' in EdinBRA.
It's looking good, though...even if I do say myself! :T

Sammi - You could try a frame (either a hand held, lap, or free standing one, depending on size/personal preference). Many people use these and they're adjustable. I personally can't get away with using either a ring or a frame, and I've always stitched with my fabric in my hands, so I've learned to keep even tension just like that. Everyone has their own way of working. :) That is a beautiful sampler! :D

    thank you :)

I have been looking at the frames on ebay but most of them arent saying if they are adjustable. I am unsure what size frame to get that would be best using for that sampler. I would rather have a lap one

would this one be ok? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ITA-CROSS-STITCH-12-x12-ROTATING-LAP-FRAME-EMBROIDERY_W0QQitemZ370242197504QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Crafts_CrossStitch_RL?hash=item5634279800&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
