Hi all

Well as there seems to be quite a bit of interest I thought we should start up the Un Finished Object thread :D
Hopefully it will encourage us all to get those part kits and projects finished "before" we part with any more cash for nice new things to do...
I don't know if everyone wants to post a picture of what they are wanting to finish off and then we can post weekly updates as to how we are getting on -or just as and when folks get time...

I will start off by declaring that I have the following -all started :o:-
  1. "in her garden" my mums xmas pressie that Im working on now :A-
  2. http://www.123stitch.com/cgi-perl/itemdetail.pl?item=K35119
  1. One of my celtic ladies -2 done, 1 under way and 3 more to do!
  2. http://www.123stitch.com/cgi-perl/itemdetail.pl?item=03-1769
  1. A smallish angel pic to finish -
  2. http://cgi.ebay.com/HEAVENLY-GRACE-c...06133002r29505
  1. hubbies HUGE hawk
  2. hawkop2.th.jpg
  1. a native american kit -
  2. http://www.123stitch.com/cgi-perl/itemdetail.pl?item=K3869a
  1. some bunny to love kit
I will post a pic later of where I am with the "in her garden" and then get cracking :p
Who knows, maybe we can get some of our projects done and used for pressies -to save even more money :T-
right -Im off to get some sewing done :D

    My list of UFO's are:

    - The Holiday Train, this is a Christmas present for my dad.
    - An AOYD Punch and Judy.
    - AOYD Girl with flowers.
    - AOYD beach scene.
    - Country Companions Hedgehog.
    - AOYD dovecote.
    - AOYD dollies stoll.

I'm currently working on the punch and judy, I've got the half stitch to do - I use some creativness with it and the backstich

    I'll keep you updated.

:rotfl::T:T:rotfl::rotfl:I don't stitch, but I am very guilty of not finishing craft things... so here are my confessions - okay here we go...

The memory blanket needs nine more squares to finish it so it covers the bed.
I have the cut outs (partially) for a flowery top on the table
I have the cut outs for a tote bag pinned together in my sewing bag. They have been there for two years
I have another partially finished tote bag that needs lining.
I have thirteen crocheted roses on the bedside table. I wanted to turn them into a belt, but I never got round to it.
I have a top that needs embellishing to cover a mark in my sewing bag

...I am very guilty of being distracted and never finishing anything :)

  • :rotfl:Ooh... what a great thread, I shall have to post a list of all my UFO's soon!

I love the way the shawl drapes on the 'In her garden' kit! It looks so realistic. I remember when I first saw a picture of that, I commented to my mum about it. It's a pretty kit-I'm sure your mum will love it!

I wasn't going to admit to just how many UFO's I actually have, then I realised perhaps I was in denial and I should face up to things! :rolleyes2

I dug out a box with most of my UFO's in and took pictures of them all. It shocked me how many of them were missing their threads or chart-I thought my stitching was very organised. They are all neatly away in seperate zip lock bags to keep them clean! So somewhere around here I have lots of missing bits of kits...they'll turn up eventually...

I am also missing several 'known' UFO's. My Country Companions engagement sampler, a Bagpuss kit from a magazine, a map of part of Ireland (Dingle, maybe?), a John Clayton Golden Bridge picture and an Oak leaf sampler. I know there's many more too...

Anyway, here's the link to my Webshots album. http://community.webshots.com/user/ruth_honey
    I feel so embarrassed-do I have the most UFO's here??? :o
*Louise*-I'm curious to know your total.... ;)

    Ruth_Honey - I think you beat me for UFO's!!

I was laughing at the country companions one that's only got about 20 stitches on it - I have some like that!! :rotfl::rotfl:

I have pulled out a load of mine - there's a few I had forgotten about that I'm keen to get into again.

    Ruth Honey

Im sure I have a couple more UFOs I have forgotten about :p
Im quite chuffed though as all mine are packed seperately -with everything in tact and I can just pick up and start sewing :A

*however* the angel one I picked up to finish the other day is soooooooo embarassing -it must be 15 years old -and the back is such a mess it looks like I was trying to knit the threads at the same time :o:rotfl: -in my defence Im now rather neat with the back of my work.... mind not as neat as mum -you can't tell much difference between the back and front of her work

You HAVE to get you wedding photo stitch done... I did our wedding pic...but they are the devils work aren't they..... 1 stitch of this and 1 of that

I have thought of another UFO - a lioness and cub..but its not very realistic so I lost interest :p

Im sure we will get them done...sometime..eventually :D
