I had thought about giving them away - but didn't think anyone would want a half completed pic lol
Yes, I LOVE christmas charts - I think nearly every member of my family has been given a christmas x-Stitch as a gift at some point :rotfl:
I'm sure someone would appreciate it. I know how boring it is in hospital and I would have gladly worked on a half done cross stitch.
I was also given one from a charity shop, which had been started. I plan to unpick it though because there was not a lot stitched, but the person who had started it does their crosses the other way, if you know what I mean. I work bottom left to top right, then back from bottom right to top left, so it would look wrong if I continued it stitching 'my way'.
Ooooh! I've just remembered another UFO. A Lilliput Lane cottage. I did some when I was in hospital in 1998. No idea where I've put it. And there was a dolphin kit... Where ARE all these missing kits and why am I so fickle? Can't understand where they've gone-it's not like I live in a big house. We have 5 rooms & I don't have stitching in the bathroom or kitchen, so where on earth are they all???
I adore christmas and halloween designs. It's so hard at this time of year because all the christmas designs are being released and I get so tempted. But I will resist...:ACross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

I think I must. Unless my mum has been stealing them every time she visits. Must start patting her down as she leaves! :rotfl:
So ceebeeby is winning with the oldest UFO (1992) and I have enough UFOs for everyone...:TCross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Louise, what a great collection of UFO's. I can understand why you've not finished the Country companions one, I find the mixing threads for a couple of stitches a right pain in the !!!!.
I've just checked my rather large sewing box again and stumbled across another AOYD UFO - Big Ben! Yes they are my favourite to stitch and my future mil has also given me some of her UFO's too!!! I'm not going to count those at the moment as i want to finish mine first!

I haven't done any xmas pics yet but I have 2 to do -but not until I have finished my UFOs

.....must get my UFOs done out of the way
My mum is very good -starts one and NEVER starts another one until it is done.... and she is sooooooo neat on the back..... she did a lilli put lane cottage -gave it to someone else then did the whole thing again straight away for someone else
Its a shame we can't swap kits and things we have got and the wondered "why?" :rotfl:
Right Im off to make the baguette dough for pizzas this evening and then on with some sewing.... You have really inspired me to get that bloomin angel finished and out the way :T-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -

Wow! What a brilliant idea for a thread! I've got quite a few UFO's too and loads of not even started ones, in fact I can't actually remember the last time I picked my stitching up..yet I still keep going to craft fairs & buy more! This might just be the motivation I need to stop spending hours on here & on Facebook!
I'll have a rummage thro my craft bags & boxes & post a list in a bit!0 -
Well, here are my UFO's..
A Lavender & Lace Lady that I think I started in the mid 1990's, having just dug it out to take a photo to put on here, I see the needle has gone rusty & marked the fabric..anyone know how to get rust marks off of aida??!
A family of ducks started sometime in the mid 1990's too
A Michael Powell Pot of Flowers started Christmas 2008
I've also got a Hummel picture somewhere that I started for my Gran & have never finished..she died in 1992..I ought to find it & finish that too some day..
Here's my bought, not yet started & no idea what I'm going to do with them list!
Rennie Mackintosh Rose Bouquet
Rennie Mackintosh Oriental Rose
Newtons Law Keep Calm
All Our Yesterdays Shell Seekers
All Our Yesterdays The Carousel
All Our Yesterdays Balloon Race
Deco Moroccan Iris
And 2 cat pictures..

oooohhh 3tabbycats....
Thats bad of you .... Im supposed to be concentrating on my UFOs and you post a pic of one of the "lavender and lace" ladies :rotfl: Im doing the celtic ladies -but I love that one you have too
Where abouts is the rust mark? only they are a b*gger to get out... hopefully it will be in an area you can stitch over or near the edge so it will be tucked under the mount when you frame it-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50
